Works well
Worked flawlessly. Only thing that was tricky was getting the on and off labels to live up with the actual switch position, but thatโs an installation challenge, not a product defect.

Works fine
It installed easily. It fits and it works. The wire clip isn't as secure as I would like. I have had it fall out already. But it is easy to clip back in.

An easy replacement and installation
Although the switch I received was slightly different than pictured (did not have the red rubber tip; no big deal) and shipped without instructions. However, when having it side by side with the old switch, I was able to install it in less than 5 minutes with basic tools. If installed correctly, this newer switch design should place the tab out of "harm's way" a bit better. In about 20 years, I might need a new one again.

Fits and Works Well with my circa 1997 Mantis, but...
I recently reconditioned my circa 1997 Mantis, and the final item to be addressed was a stripped-thread kill-switch. Since this MantisTiller Kill Switch was advertised to fit all old-style Mantis, I bought it and after some glitches along the way, it does fit. Were it not for issues stemming from a misleading product photo, it could have received 5 stars. CONTACT-TERMINAL The new switch was not a perfect match, in that the electrical contact-terminal was not as illustrated in the product photo. Instead of the contact-terminal being to the side as it is in the product photo, it was positioned straight down; making installation impossible. I considered bending the contact-terminal so it would go to the side, but was concerned the contact-terminal might pull away from the switch body or perhaps crack and break; eliminating my chances of returning the switch for refund. However, when the seller was approached regarding my returning the switch, I was advised to bend the contact-terminal to the side to make the switch fit, so, I did, and the contact-terminal did not break nor pull away from the switch body. It fit. RED CAP ON SWITCH HANDLE The product photo also shows a red insulating cap covering the bat portion of the switch handle. The switch did not come with any cap. Fortunately I had a selection from which to choose in my personal inventory of caps, and the one you see in my photo is of one from my personal inventory. BOTTOM LINE After some adieu, the new switch does fit (see my photo) and works well with my circa 1997 Mantis. However, because of the misleading product photo and additional work on my part, I could only give it 3 (It's okay) stars. Too bad.
