Great timing. We had an issue with a broken stud on my old ATC three wheeler the day this arrived. First I was surprised at how heavy it is. This thing is fantastic quality for its price, to the point of superior quality. It looks as good as it feels. Needless to day it made short work out of the stud and pulled it out so easy. My son was curious if it will install them too, which it will as we have 3 studs to install in his MGA. I have no doubt this will work and I will update if it will not. Now it is a bit large for tight spaces so be aware of that, and it is offset so it will not spin in an exact circle like a socket so do not get in a huge rush unless you are very coordinated.

Had very little to bite on but worked very well

Needed to pull four threaded studs from my cylinder head and this worked perfectly on each one. I used these in the past and thought I had one but couldn’t find it. This arrived fast and on time keeping my project going. Easy to use and well made. Don’t fuss with double nuts, do it right the first time. Worth every penny.

I typically don’t write reviews. But this is so trash I have to. I warn all of you, if you are using a 1/2 inch ratchet in a confined space with this, you are going to be disappointed at the sheer level of inept quality this thing has. Not only did it NOT get the stud out, but this thing chewed up all its teeth in one go of putting some fat, out of shape, farm boy strength to it. This was a terrible purchase.

Although this did not work for me it is a solid tool. I had a bolt that was broken off in an exhausted manifold and there wasn't much left of it. This tool did get a good bite on it but rather than the bolt backing out, it shredded the bolt. I feel like in most instances this tool would work great but in others, what's left of the bolt might just not be meant to come out.

Awkward to use like most of these types of devices, this one is worse than most since the retaining ball on the drive extension component has such a weak spring. The part falls apart way too often and way too easily. The component that grips the stud is not hardened well enough with several ridges flattening with each use. When it doesn’t slip it works well enough. I am guessing it will work a few more times before becoming useless

Its not a tool you hope to need, but if you need it you'll be glad you have it. It works great, fits in tight spaces better than vice grips, and holds on tight. It saved the day when I had some broken engine cradle bolts while changing motor mounts on a Ford transit.

This is a handy device, better than using a pair of vice grip pliers to try to remove a stud. The cam locking mechanism is able to fit most sizes I'll ever encounter. I'm confused about the nut splitter reference; there was nothing pictured and no nut splitter in the package. But that is not what I was looking for.

i had a tricky situation with a stud that needed to be removed without causing further damage than had already been done by the gorilla that installed it. funny thing is i already had one of these stud removers i bought about 45 years ago. although I’ve never ever managed to remove anything with it, its still knocking around in my toolbox, mostly just for the nostalgia of it. Anyway when i started looking for something to do the job i saw this version. I immediately clocked the teeth on the wheel which grabs the stud. my old one, (British made btw) had just some checkering on the wheel. i read a few reviews and ordered it for the next morning. I took the opportunity to make sure i had sprayed plenty of wd40 the night before. I also put some tape around the stud to help the wheel bite into something. the offending stud was out in seconds, no damage. very very pleased. I have no idea about the manufacturer or where it is made but this is a quality tool and puts my old one to absolute shame, very good value too.
