Digital Photo Art: New Directions

This is one of several of Ms. Airey books that I have read ... all have been terrific.Digital Photo Art gives detailed, but uncomplicated, instructions to elevate photographs to works of art. The text covers digital and mixed media using a variety of programs and techniques. I found the discussion of infrared photography and the associated projects to be particularly helpful and inspiring.A "must read" for anyone who esteems to create art with a camera!

Been waiting for a new book by Airey since I have her previously ones which are well used, and she delivers with this one. Full of ideas, and the methods to carry them out are mostly explained well. Seems to assume, however, that we already know exactly how to negotiate Photoshop. I still don't know how to Drag one image on top of another, something Airey uses a lot. Otherwise, her work is beautiful and inspiring and a big help in achieving my own fine art goals.

Though a few years old, still the definitive guide to photo art. Always watchful for a new edition!

Images are very nice but, the explanations on how they were built leaves a lot to be desired: few specifics - most assumes you already know.

I am reading Ms. Airey's book and having never used a mask before I've discovered how really easy it is! Thanks for such great instruction. I'm looking forward to trying more stuff!

The book is for those who want to do lots of manipulation with their photos, especially using the various software programs available.

Theresa Airey is a talented artist and brings a ton of inspiration to post processing images in this book. I highly recommend it.

Very good book and with plenty of information. I am not a professional, but for sure everyone can still learn from this book.
