Students preparing for the Advanced Placement U.S. History exam will welcome this revised and updated set of flash cards. The cards encompass the entire AP course and offer students the flexibility to study American history in ways not available with textbooks and study guides. The 500 cards run chronologically from the Colonial era of the early 1600s to the present day, and are divided into seven general categories: Arts and Sciences, Domestic Policies, Presidential Matters, Wars and Foreign Relations, Economy and Business, Legal Issues, and Society and Culture. They are numbered and labeled so that students can arrange them within a chronological time frame or according to any of the above-noted categories. Students can use the enclosed metal ring to rearrange the cards in any order that fits their study needs. Each card has a small corner punch hole to accommodate the ring. Review: An invaluable resource for anyone wanting to get a 5 - Upon opening the box you realize how many 500 cards really is (it's a lot) and they are very useful in preparation for the AP exam as they are concise with important information. However, do note that studying just the flashcards alone likely isn't enough for a top score on this test as a review book will help tie everything together and to help better understand relationships. Overall these notecards are incredibly useful for those who have difficulty in remembering details while reading (such as in a review book) as it is often easy to just skim over important people and laws but the flashcards force you to focus on these. These are an invaluable resource to anyone preparing for the AP exam as being able to pull specific court cases, people, laws...etc. is very important on the essay as well on the multiple choice. Review: Great study tool! - It was my first time buying a set of flashcards like this. I was surprised when I opened the box. So many flashcards! You don't think much when you read it in a description, but when you actually see the product, you will realize what a great value it is. The cards cover everything major in U.S. history and even has an index of cards that will easily let you find any card you need. The ring that comes with it helps a lot if you plan to study on the go. All in all. These cards are great.

If you are taking APUSH, Buy These Cards!
The cards are really great. I am taking APUSH this year and they have been super helpful. One person in my class pulled these out in the beginning of the year and now, practically my entire class has a set of them. I use them to see how much knowledge I have on a particular subject and to see what I have to study before a test. I haven't started studying for the actual AP exam yet but I can only imagine that these cards will be a great aid.

They need to be waterproof.
While they're not exceptionally detailed, these flashcards were great in summarizing all the key topics. The only con is that they're not water resistant... so when a spider attacked me and, in defending myself, the 100 flash cards that I'd been studying got thrown into the pool ...they didn't hold up too well. Dear Barron's AP Flash Cards people, consider adding heavy duty lamination as a feature for your product.

I hate companies who try to make a buck off of standardized tests but I must admit AP flash cards, especially this one for US history really helped me out. If you don't have time to make flashcards yourself (which a better method of studying), then I would definitely recommend this product. Good luck, study hard so you can save money on college, just saying.

My brother used these
I helped my brother to review for his AP test with these and they seemed to be helpful in determining what information he really needed to focus on. It is also possible to turn them into memory games, if you are so inclined. My brother did quite well on the test, so I imagine with a combination of studying from his notes, his text book, his guidebook, and these cards, there were a lot of sources.

Good help
We found these cards to be very helpful. They are in date order from the 1st president to Obama, with several clues on each card. They cover more than presidents, like events up to wars, court cases, you know history of our country. Good reminder just to read through, my daughter used it like a trivia game with her friends.
