It is what you use when you want the lasting quality, is a great example of you get what you pay for. Sticks great, tools on really nice.

i really hate the caulk at the big box stores which are so thin and stringy... i hesitated to spend 3 times as much on this, but so glad i did. it's a near perfect color match for the paint on my stucco. and it's so easy to get a clean finish with the wet finger method. i used it on exterior door frames and windows, and plan to buy a few more and do the whole house. do it once and do it right. i had a quote from a stucco company to seal the whole house for $2000, but i feel like i can do almost as good a job myself (prep work is key, of course).

This is absolutely the only building sealant that I will buy period.

This Silicone Building Sealant was described on the Dow Corning website as being the best all around silicone adhesive. I tested it on the tile in my bathroom hoping that it would be a good method to attach a shower basket to the wall. The test was on some unused tile near the tub. I left the test coupons undisturbed for 7 days so that it could get maximum adhesion. None of the items stuck to the tile. The silicone easily peeled off the tile. The silicone did stick to the metal test pieces but not the tile. Even the silicone adhering to the metal could be torn apart with my fingers. I have never been able to tear any other silicone apart with my fingers.
