Merula Cup XL Midnight (Black) - The Menstrual Cup for Those Very Heavy Days

Great product, quality and design.

It does feel uncomfortable or hurt pretty terribly if you put it in wrong. I have learned a couple ways about this thing since it's the most effective menstrual item I now own, so you CAN avoid the feeling of having yourself gutted. It takes some adjustment, but for me personally it works wonders.

Had been using the super Jennie since 2020 and it has been such a game changer for my heavy flow. I still had to change it after every 2 hours or so before I experienced leakage. I also didn't like the stains left on the cup. Very happy to find out that there were bigger cups available, and this one also comes in a black size. Now I can go 5 hours without changing it, and 0 leaks during bedtime after the 2nd day of my period. After the 2nd day, I can go 8 hours without leaks!! Love the color of the cup. One thing I have to say is, it's difficult to get the cup out with just pinching the base, because of how big it is and the material is more firm. My fine motor skills aren't also the best. But using the stem, I am able to hook my finger in and pull it down enough to release the seal so that I can pinch it.

Generally, I have one day of my cycle that is equivalent to the red wedding happening in my whoo haw. No amount of repositioning my diva cup kept me from being a leaky, clott-y faucet. Previously, I had to be near a bathroom the whole day in case that moment comes when you feel the lava gush releasing from your nether regions and need to excuse yourself immediately for fear of having to treat mother nature's monthly gift as a blood borne pothagens spill on aisle 5. THIS TIME, however, my new bad boy of a cauldron collected that red rain like a champ. I only had a small leak after 6 hours or so. The cup is slightly firmer than a Diva cup, but not by much. Removal was fairly easy, but the base is less grippy than my other cup and visions of dropping this into a public restroom toilet had me hanging onto the ladder stem for dear life. Don’t pull a Rose and let Jack find his final resting place in the deep, dark waters of your local sewer. Hang onto that stem! CONS: This cup is larger than your average cup and my downstairs was like a tight lipped baby suspiciously eyeing a spoon when their parent tries to convince them that the incoming airplane with food on it requires you to open up wide. Nothing a little lube can't fix, but you're probably going to want to just shove the thing up there when your patience runs out. Don't do that. You'll have to pull it out and reposition it again and you've probably already spent enough time on the toilet at that point. Just be persistent and be prepared for plenty of hand washing. Strongly recommend this product if your uterus won’t stop throwing a giant tantrum every month simply because you aren’t with child. Give it the binky it deserves.

This thing really hurt and caused excess cramping that was only alleviated once removed. There's a reason most cups are made with thinner, more pliable silicone. One can make a high capacity cup without it being this uncomfortably hard. Wouldn't be surprised if this thing didn't give my dang cervix a hickey. The suction was insane and painful, even after trying different tried and true methods to lessen it. Cups are obviously not returnable products so purchase at your own risk!

This cup has the best seal, a large capacity, and easiest removal, ie, no more leaks and mess. Very thankful I found it.

I found this cup to be uncomfortable. If you buy this cup too early - before your cycle begins- and find it not to be a good fit, this seller will not refund you.

Aussitôt reçue, aussitôt testée. J’en suis ravie. Je porte des cups depuis environ 5 ans et mon ancienne avait pris une couleur qui me rebutait sans parler des trous colorés 🤢🤮 Elle a donc fini à la poubelle. Je porte un stérilet en cuivre et j’ai des règles très très hémorragiques. J’avais régulièrement des fuites avec mon ancienne et elle était trop souple donc ne se dépliait pas facilement et le retrait était fastidieux car en appuyant pour déventouser, ça en foutait partout…. Pas cool donc. La Merula xxl est très agréable à porter, je ne la sens absolument pas. Le 1er jour, j’avoue avoir peiné à la retirer car très très rigide et elle ventouse très fort. Elle est aussi assez compliquée à pincer car épaisse et rigide. J’ai eu assez mal lors de ce premier retrait. La seconde fois, j’ai pris plus de temps pour la deventouser et je n’ai plus jamais eu mal lors des retraits. Si vous êtes novice en cup je vous la déconseille fortement ;) Mais si vous êtes une habituée des cups vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés. Une fois le coup de main pris elle est exceptionnelle. Jolie ( j’ai la noire ), sans aspérité pour un nettoyage facile, facile à mettre et qui se fait complètement oubliée une fois installée. Une grosse capacité ( 50ml ) ce qui est génial pour les règles hémorragiques sous stérilet en cuivre. L’essayer c’est l’adopter mais je la déconseille aux novices / adolescentes.

Matériel qui ne durera pas dans le temps pour une raison très simple c'est que c'est déjà trop confortable. À l'époque j'en avais eu une qui m'avait demandé un temps d'adaptation pour qu'elle prenne la forme et ensuite elle était parfait elle avait tenu beaucoup d'années .la seule raison pour laquelle j'en change c'est que j'ai besoin de plus de réserve. Celle-ci se comporte déjà comme si je l'avais déjà fait à ma personne. Comment va-t-elle se comporter par la suite ? Je dirais que l'esthétique on s'en fout un peu. pour l'instant elles ventouse bien mais je garde des réserves pour les raisons que je vous ai écrit.

Super cup, de très bonne qualité. Elle est hyper pratique pour les règles hémorragique. Grosse contenance et 0 fuite.

À éviter.... Pourtant je suis sous cup depuis plusieurs années mais je voulais passer à la taille au-dessus, c'est une autre marque que celle que j'avais avant. Résultat, vu qu'elle est ultra rigide lorsque la vessie est plus si affinité sont pleins.... Tout se bloque (rien ne sort...) ce qui peut conduire à de grosses difficultés médicales. Je déconseille vivement la mienne part à la poubelle.

E' davvero troppo grossa e rigida! Un vero peccato perché sarebbe stata la coppetta perfetta: non avendo i forellini, ed essendo così rigida, fa un sottovuoto molto potente, tiene bene, è molto capiente quindi si può stare senza cambiarla fino a 12 ore, il colore nero e il packaging nella bustina di pizzo viola e nera sono davvero eleganti, ma.....da seduta fa un male cane!!! E' davvero troppo grossa e rigida, si sente molto ed è fastidiosissima, premetto che non sono una principiante, ho già avuto diverse esperienze con altre coppette prima, quindi sono sicura che è inserita benissimo, ma il problema è proprio la forma. Il suo più grande vantaggio, è anche il suo più grande difetto... anche l'estrazione è più complicata delle altre coppette, perché essendo larga anche alla base (a differenza delle coppette classiche che sotto hanno una base più ristretta) si fa fatica ad afferrarla con i polpastrelli per schiacciarla e rompere il sottovuoto. La ricomprerei? Nì...diciamo che la sto usando solo nei primi 2 giorni del ciclo, i più intensi, perché sono disperata e ne ho davvero bisogno, ma nei giorni successivi la sostituisco con una coppetta classica mooolto più stretta perché il fastidio è davvero insopportabile! Mi sarebbe piaciuto poterla utilizzare per tutto il ciclo.. vabbè, pazienza...tutto sommato il suo lavoro lo fa e anche bene, quindi non posso neanche bocciarla...dico senza infamia e senza lode
