I absolutely LOVE this set of brushes! The bigger one is much more convenient to hold and use. It detangles my hair easily (when it's wet), pain-free :) It feels a bit like the Michel Mercier brush which I use for over a decade (the same model, not item), in the sense that it works extremely well with curls. I do feel that for the past week and a half of use, this brush is even nicer for use than my old one. The smaller brush is a bit inconvenient to hold, as the handle isn't very agronomic. But it also works as expected, so it's gonna be very good for travel.

These are some of my favorite brushes. The little one works perfect to leave in the shower to comb conditioner through my wavey hair. The large one is great for getting to my scalp without scratching it it feels good, doesn't pull or tear my hair. And it's super easy to clean. I've dropped it quite a few times and you can't tell at all it still looks brand new. I will never be without one of these brushes.

I purchased these two brushes within weeks of each other. It's unfortunate it's no longer available. Because it's much better than more expensive brand on the the one on the left.

When I opened the brushes, I noticed a strong chemical smell from the little one, but not the big one. However, the big one had a few bent bristles. I decided to use the big one, and I honestly loved how it defined my curls! It was pretty great while using, except the fact that it was gliding kinda slowly through my hair compared to my other brushes (I have very thick 4c hair). The bristles were very hard, but they wasn't causing any damage or pain, which is good. After I was done, I was going to clean it just like the directions show. I WAS, but couldn't without hurting my fingers because the red piece was very hard to slide out. Once I used my strength to push it out, the nails of my thumb bled a little. It was just a little blood so I wiped it off and continued trying to clean this brush cuz after I started bleeding, I knew I needed to return this for a refund. After cleaning the teeth, I started putting them back in but I realized that the bent bristles were putting up a fight and not going in easily. It so tedious and by that point I was mad with the quality of this brush. I don't know if I was weak or if I received a bad brush, but I can't have a brush that is hard to clean and has bent bristles. I hate hard it is to clean, because I really loved how it worked in my hair.

Not for detangling, just know that. It's good for getting product all throughout your hair, especially for curly girls. Cheaper than a Denman brush, too. The only issue I had is that the smooth handle is so slippery when I'm using it on wet hair. The products on my hand and the water make it hard to hold and control. My solution was to dip it in Plasti-Dip, worked like a charm! Love the brush. It now has a runner grip and is no longer problematic when my hands are slippery. Changing out the rows is easy, too. So far it's holding up well. I used the clear spray Plasti-Dip on the small one and decided that dipping was better than aerosol and i was right. That's why the small one looks crusty, it's the leftover aerosol dip from when i initially sprayed it.

When I first saw the box I thought Amazon had screwed up… it appeared there was only one brush in the box. The box did not say it contained two brushes. I was bracing to have to call and complain, but to my surprise when I opened the box, both brushes were in there. The travel one is quite small, maybe more of a purse size or for an overnight than something you’d want to be your only brush for a week-long trip. But I can’t complain; I believe it’s the correct dimensions. And even the larger one would pack pretty well.
