I wanted to post this review quickly after fully testing all the functions and before getting started with painting and weathering. If you are looking for an excellent deal look no further. This tank has all the functions listed in the advertising AND it came with the newest 7.0 control board. For this price I really had expected the previous 6.0 version. The price I paid (270) here is just a few bucks more than what some other sellers charge for the only slightly upgraded version that has the steel gearbox, tracks, drive sprockets and idler wheels. For only about ten bucks more than some other sellers, besides all that, you also get all the road wheels and their support arms in steel and a 5000 mAh NiMH battery with a Tamiya connector (easy to upgrade). Another really great free upgrade included is the ability for the turret to make a complete 360 degree circle in either direction, increasing the scale accuracy (the transport position) and also making it more formidable when RC tank battling. I price the upgrades this tank comes with at probably more than $125 if purchased separately. The details are good enough that even some light weathering makes for a realistic presentation. There are a number of additional aftermarket parts available and I purchased some "screens" or "guards" for the rear deck (photoetch) and the rear fenders in metal. If you never had a Heng Long with the 7.0 board you will find that the control is really excellent and that the programmable options could be helpful in accomplishing scale movements to some drivers. I have a bit of experience with airsoft and I will say that the airsoft on the tank I received is surprisingly strong and has excellent repeatability. Probably my only complaint is that the upgraded 5000 mAh battery is a really tight fit in length and crushes the wiring attached to its end. It fits, but just barely and it is difficult to get in an out. I always feel like eventually that will damage the wiring after much use, but do I have a number of RC vehicles that also have the same issue with upgraded batteries so it seems to be a common problem. A standard OEM (light blue) Tamiya 1200 mAh batteries is shorter and does fit well if you happen to have them. So, with this tank you will end up painting in German Grey the metal sprockets, the rear idler wheels and all of the metal road wheels. I bought two cans of Tamiya TS-4 just in case; I believe it will be a good color match. The tracks are all-metal and I highly recommend using a "burnishing fluid" on them rather than painting. It looks great, creates a tough finish, and will save a ton of time and money over paints. I get that here on Amazon. Anyway, I highly recommend this Heng Long Tiger 1 German tank and you shouldn't hesitate if you are a first time buyer.

I revived my heng long 1/16th scale Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger Ausf. E ( tiger 1 ) the tank is a good size comparable to a 1/10th scale rc car wheighs around 10-11lbs ( with metal tracks and road wheels ) powered by dual 530 brushed motors ( there is upgrade motors you can get for these but not really needed more for newer era tanks to get the speed they woulda had ) the airsoft feature with decent range and you definitely know when you have been hit by one lol ( do not shoot at face ) the exhaust smoke is a cool feature the motor has a start up sound clip that goes into a idle and then acceleration all of an actual maybach engine for Tiger 131 at bovington well this is a starter tank the electronics are consider some of the best and are used commonly in more expensive rc tanks the only real difference is it’s not all metal i was told the hull is weak but i have not seen seen anything yet that would make me believe that ( there are hull braces made you can buy tho ) the detail is great all the hatches open the machine gun tip lights up when firing the tank actually rocks when you fire the cannon the infared system works great for tank vs tank battles i have modified mine from the original German grey and painted it to represent michale whittmans tiger 1331 at the battle of Kursk with period corroect colors and camo the stickers are from pedinghaus and do not come with the kit they have there own as pictured in the advertisement if you wana start with the cheaper plastic tracks and maby upgrade to metal once you like it you can do that there are a few places making aftermarket parts and accessories for these like rc tank legion ( south east Asia ) and oz armour (Australia) so expect orders to take a few weeks oh and pedinghaus is a German company usualy take 2-3 weeks for delivery And one last thing i run them on 2s gens ace lipo battery’s nothing is needed to use a lipo battery other than a charger that will work for it and have the right connectors ( can’t say what will come with tank 1 tanks came with deans connectors my other came with ic3 all common and easy to get any hobby shop will solder connectors for you for 5-10$ ) Overal i really enjoy these tanks i also have a panzerkampfwagen tiger ausf. B (tiger 2,king tiger , tiger royal, or koings tiger) another great tank from henglong i would recommend these to anyone wanting to get into the hobby

This heng long kit is a good kit, the base panzergrau is OK, as you can see I added the wood, light rust and orange rust paint to simulate Dunkelgelb. I opted for the metal tracks and wheel version and money we'll spent! I added add ons as you can see, once you begin detailing I can't stop, BTW the rust set of paints I used where the Vallejo rust, stain & streaking kit. The one draw back is the turret ring gear, it's made of plastic as easily can distort and break so be careful, also be sure to tighten the wheel locks with the Allen wrench as they are not properly tightened. Other than that the dual sounds of the tiger 1 and the leopard 2 are awesome, the smoke function adds more realism, the engine starts and the idle sounds too legit. There are also 2 sets of MG fire options everything with this kit is tits!

Awesome. This is my second tank by Heng Long. The only issue I had so far was two of the road wheels fell off on its first run. Easy fix UPDATE.... The decals fell off two day later and the smoker stopped working after I refilled it 🙁

Great fun and realism, runs and drives awesome. Only complaints are smoke problems and battery changes which is why I returned it. The metal gears and tracks is worth the money to upgrade. I would recommend getting the smaller battery pack makes fighting the battery release less difficult. (See video) Seems durable and sound quality was awesome also. It was hard to gauge how much smoke solution to use and eventually ended up not smoking anymore due to saturated cotton material which you can find videos on how to replace cotton which is the common problem of the smoke to stop working. Still giving 5 stars because the fun factor.

Quit working during the test drive, the headlights started flashing rapidly. I fully charged and replaced the battery, the tank comes on, the lights flash slowly indicating ready but when I press the unlock button on the transmitter the tank makes a noise/cannon shot and then goes into rapid flashing light mode. Now I am chatting with Heng long technical support. Not really excited about posting a bad review, probably no one is, but I made my decision partly on all the good ones. I'd rather be somewhere else. Like driving my tank!!!

This RC Tiger is awesome with all the upgrades. It’s bigger and heavier than I expected but it gives it a nice scale and feel. I would have loved this as a kid and now that Im way much older and always been a tank enthusiast; this is a must. I wouldn’t drive it in thick mud or sand since the road wheels are overlapped and could gum them up. Since the real Tiger 1 had that issue when it was in combat where the road wheels jammed up from mud and snow. It came packaged really well. My little maltipoo hates it but she’s scared of her own shadow so it’s fine. Everything works just fine and it’s really loud with adjustable audio. I wouldn’t have it on the highest setting so the speaker doesnt blow out but if it did, theres an upgrade for the speaker anyways. Assembling the accessories was easy and I noticed the accessories match up to the Tiger in the World of Tanks game which I found kinda funny. Just know when you are putting in the accessories to line up the holes and apply hard even pressure or else they can break. Once put on you might not ever take them off. Unless you’re going to paint it, dont put the parts on just yet until after. When you drive it, even though it has a steel transmission, dont drive it as if it were an RC car. With the weight of the tank being around almost 20 pounds the gearbox can wear quicker. You need to drive it at scale. Meaning drive it as if it were an actual tank. Slowly. That’s what it’s for. The batter is long but if put it correctly, it fits just fine. I will get another powerful batter Thats much smaller so I don’t have to do that every time. I got about a full hour of time with the battery once it was fully charged. Overall the seller is responsive and answered all my questions before I pulled the trigger. Been wanting to get into the RC hobby and now I got my gateway drug into it. In the near future I’d definitely am looking forward to getting other ones from Henglong.

Hace unas horas me llegó el pedido, fue un día antes de lo que la aplicación decía así que fue un punto favorable. El producto en si venía completo con los complementos que prometían, ya sea desde el liquido para generar humo hasta venían las 6 pilas para el control remoto (otro punto a favor), la función de las luces, sonidos, movimientos bien y también viene con un destornillador junto con una llave T (Admito que Amazon fue amable al enviarlos por cuenta propia) las partes de metal que prometían vienen bien. Los guardafangos de la parte trasera del tanque venían bien pero en la parte del lado derecho donde se ensambla estaba rota así que no sé si sea por el viaje o defecto de fabrica, a excepción de este defecto recomiendo este producto
