Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete

Now let me start this review by saying I played this game as a child, and intended to complete it now that I'm an adult. I was too young to understand much of nuances of gameplay or conservation of MP or items. That being said, this is one of the very few instances where I have returned to a childhood love and found it to be even better than I remember. There are subtle jokes thrown in with the text of the game to engage the player in more ways than one. Instead of being an rpg that tries to immerse the player and takes itself too seriously this game is fun while also having deep characters, development of those characters, and plot that isn't absurd. The gameplay is simple yet entertaining, the characters all have quirks and personality traits that aren't overly simplistic, and the adventure itself is fun and exciting. I highly recommend this to people who like to see the way RPGs developed over time. It has character placement that is important for battle, knockback, and when you use a physical non ranged attack your character MUST approach it's target. If you recall most rpgs of the time had you simply select what to attack and it hit. Traveling to said target was usually a non-issue. I also recommend this game to RPG enthusiasts of any sort. Play it and you'll see why.

This arrived much, much, much earlier than Amazon predicted, and it is just the most WONDERFUL game. The seller from whom we bought this is incredible; this was in excellent condition, with everything either as described or in even BETTER shape. I am SO pleased with this purchase and I can't wait to tell everyone about this incredible game and from whom I bought it on Amazon. I have never come across a more responsible, customer-minded seller on Amazon, and I will be back to buy from them again and again and again! The game is incredible, working perfectly right out of its box; all of the manuals are there and readable; it comes with a map, a making-of, a soundtrack ... it came with so MUCH stuff that it earned a five star rating right there, just for the value of the price, but it was packaged so well and shipped so thoughtfully and QUICKLY that I am amazed! The game play is easy to navigate, and there are so many wonderful similarities to the games I played with my mother when I was a child that I grin the whole time. Everyone should own a copy of this game, and when you buy it, get it from this seller! THANK YOU AGAIN!

Lunar is good RPG Series This one Lunar The Silver Star Story Complete (LSSSC) I got this version when it first was released in the 90's I also had the Sega CD Versions I like this Verson and think its the best version I think Way back when Working Desings was still around the few games they made and or remade was great.Story: Is rather linier not alot "Side Quest" and your basic Hero must save world type of story. 7/10Graphics: When it first came out where good but not great and to todays standards are just to par. 6/10Artwork: Is great even to todays standards 10/10Replay: Very low unless your like me and enjoy playing through this story over and over again 4/10Overall: It is a good game I would sugest it to all RPG/Jrpg fans 10/10.

I'm happy that I got the game fairly quick but upon me getting it I opened up the package and found that the original soundtrack was missing and all of the books that the game came with are gone. I know the original artwork isn't vital to how the game plays but I at least want all four disks, not three. Came with disk 1, 2, dvd, and original soundtrack is missing but oh well i'll still play it regardless.

This game is loaded with goods. It brings back memories of great rpgs when sega was still making consoles but with better graphics. Story is great even though its predictable. Same with the battle system, simple but yet original. a game for anyone who wants a great rpg.

An amazing RPG that is underrated by far, in my opinionit rates up with the Final Fantasy games of the era(ps1)better than breath of fire 3 and 4, and (dont hate me) better than star ocean 2.An amazing game, and i am estatic i found this! The remake changed the voiceacting, some of the songs etc etc....it is just not the same at all.

I ordered the item and it showed up quickly but it wasn't what I expected. The item in the photo did not match the actual item. Make sure to read the description and do not depend on the seller to put the correct photo on the listing or you could end up making my mistake and not receive what you thought you were buying.

The cd’s were in perfect condition and i can play it . The case was a bit cracked but it dosen’t matter i got to play a game from my childhood again :)
