This is incompatible with UK system and is dangerous
Do not buy this if you are in the UK. It is not compatible with our electricity system. It comes with a US plug and if you use an adapter, it is liable to catch fire! DANGEROUS!

It’s fragile & Drop off points for Amazon returns literally refuse to return it due to the size
Very fragile rubbish. DO NOT BUY.I ordered 1 of these already & had to send it back because it was delivered damaged. It was completely destroyed.It was very difficult to return because of its size.I spent a lot of money just going to multiple return points in a Taxi through multiple towns & they all refused to take it off my hands.I ordered a replacement & that also came damaged. Now I have to wait for 2 refunds on 2 box fans.I’m going to phone Amazon to make a formal complaint & to get them to arrange a pickup from the delivery address because I can’t return it because ALL DROP OFF POINTS WILL REFUSE TO RETURN IT TO AMAZON.

where is my refund?
plugged it in left room then I smelt smoke went back & it was on fire had to open windows to clear smoky smell, sent it back for a refund but none given & I cannot find out why

Should not be sold in the UK
American fan - Should not be sold in the UK and apparently it's a nightmare to return it.You need a step-down transformer to be able to run it properly.Do not purchase if you're in the UK!

US plug! Needs step down adapter.
When it arrived I thought it odd it was a two prong plug, not a standard U.K. plug. I assumed it was European so plugged it into a bog-standard two to three pin adapter. Big mistakeFan fuse blew.Further investigation showed it was a US device, with a US fuse that has blown.This means I now need to find a US fuse AND a US to U.K. step down adapter, in the hope that I can get it working again and haven’t fried the electrics.My advice to anyone in the U.K. looking at this would be to not buy it.

Do not buy if your voltage supply is 240V
The product is not designed for india. if you are from india then you will need a voltage converter. Should have mentioned this somewhere in the product description.

Exactly what I wanted...an inexpensive box fan that could sit atop four 11 Merv filters (formed into a box shape...you can look up Corsi-Rosenthal Box project) to pull air up and through the filters. I'm so sick of buying the $300.00 Sharper Image air filters that break in a year...so...I built my own (no, it's not pretty, but by George it works! I don't even have to DUST anymore! ). This fan is perfectly functional for the project, with just the /right/ amount of noise (I have it in the bedroom, so it's perfect to 'sleep' to) and airflow is exactly as expected.
