Caspari Nativity 3D Advent Calendar Pop-Up Book - 1 Each

Beautiful book throughout, but the "new" to this timeless tradition is the Advent Calendar. Opening one door or window at a time keeps the magic and charm alive the entire holiday season. I bought several of these books for grownups - not for little ones. (I recommend more 'disposable' Advent calendars for children.). These made wonderful early gifts for my elderly mom & mom-in-law. They give many presents but have few boxes to open Christmas morning themselves, so they each anticipated the 24 'surprises' with delight. These also make unique, suitable-for-most-any-taste presents for coworkers and gift exchanges.

It's better looking then expected. The book is great too. Only problem is it doesn't stay open on it's own. Kind of made a system to keep it open for display.

Some pop-up were peeled off, but I fixed it with a glue gin in 3 minutes. It is very adorable, my 9 year old daughter was happy to view every detail. Also she enjoyed reading as well. it is a little tricky to fix advent calendar so it will not formed back into the book. Still 5 starts because of the quality of the images and attention to the details.

The story is traditional and nice, but the advent calendar part is truly disappointing. It's too small to see what picture is revealed behind each number and the numbers are really hard to find. I would not waste your money on this unless you only want the book for the story.

This book is kept at our house (grandmother and grandfather) for our small grandson to read while he is here. Since "grandfather" is currently bedridden, the first thing our grandson does upon arrival, is collect his favorite books to take into "Grandfather's" bedroom. With the advent of Christmas, this wonderful Christmas Pop-Up Advent Calendar story book is the first book he takes into "Grandfather's" room to enjoy.

Our 4 and 2 year olds loved hearing the story during Christmas and taking turns opening the windows. Looking forward to reusing it next year.

Beautifully illustrated book but sadly the pop up part was not user friendly for a 5 year old, or adult for that matter. Many of the doors were very difficult to open and the pop up section itself would not stay open without help plus various parts would stay in place as they should. This is also an expensive book and for the price should at least work.

Bought this because I love The Night Before Christmas and I was also looking for an advent calendar. The book is a good size with colourful illustrations. The advent calendar is superb although I didn't realise when I ordered that it is actually attached to the book. The detail on the 3d calendar is amazing - an old fashioned four storey house with everything in it that you would expect and more. Another nice touch is that the pictures inside the doors match in with the decor of the house. This will definitely be a keeper and I'm sure will be brought out for many years to come. Would happily recommend.

This calendar comes in the form of a book, with the last two 'pages' being the pop-up advent calendar. It's nicely drawn and printed and is very traditional, which is what I wanted. The roofs on the pop-up buildings don't stay completely level which affects the way it looks but it's not a major problem. The main problem with the calendar is that there was no door for one of the days, i.e. there were only 23 doors, not 24. I've had to knock a star off for that, and the uneven roofs.

I've never seen somethiong like this, a wonderful book with a sweet story in rhimes and a georgeus adventcalander i 3D. The girls didn't belive thir eyes when they aunfould it and are looking forward to Christmas alrready (It's the 22 nd of August ;)

Beautiful book and story and the pop up Advert Calendar is lovely. The doors can be hard to find and in difficult places and so hard to open. otherwise just what I wanted.
