High Quality Pocket Knife
Kershaw's Cryo pocket knife is the perfect size for an everyday carry knife. I love the speed assisted opening feature. This the first pocket knife that I have owned that had assisted opening. The blade snaps out and locks safely and securely. The 2.75-inch blade is perfect for packages, rope, cord and other typical daily uses. It should serve me well. The blade is razor sharp out of the box. The grip is comfortable, and the speed assist lever serves as an extra safety feature to keep your index finger from sliding forward onto the blade. I can get all four fingers on the grip if I choose to.

My New EDC Knife
I looked at this knife for a while before actually purchasing. I was carrying a larger folder knife and every now and then if I had to carry other things around in my pockets it would get in the way. I saw the other reviews on this knife and made note of it's smaller size, but it took me a while to actually purchase. I am glad I did purchase this knife. Build quality is great, the finish is flaw free, and every bolt and screw is tight. The blade also came very sharp and has held up for a few weeks now without needing to be resharpened. SpeedSafe assisted opening took only a few openings to get the hang of opening quickly. I would have to say it is safe to open the knife this way. Fingers have to be out of the way or the knife cannot open. It's also on the opposite side of the handle from the blade which would make it very difficult to slip and have the fingers go in the way of the blade, probably not impossible, but much more difficult than most other knives I have owned or handled. The way the blade locks into place when opened is very strong. There is a part of the frame that, when the blade is up, drops down underneath the blade to keep it from closing. Myself and a few others from work spent some time messing with this and trying to get it to fail, but none of us could. It feels safer than the knives that have the lock on the back of the handle that acts like a button press. It's very possible to, when trying to pry something, grip the knife in a way that depresses that lever. It seems very difficult to do that with this knife's frame lock. When gripping, the hand is wrapped around the frame which would make it very difficult to spread the frame open and allow the lock to disengage. The color is nice and not too shiny. Light doesn't create a glare on it when it's in my pocket. Overall this a very nice knife. I would say it's best use is an every day carry knife. It's the right size and weight to clip in to the pocket. I wear it all day and it hasn't been in the way of me getting anything out of my pockets yet. Very pleased with the purchase.

Perfect knife for me
This knife is exactly what I was looking for, as it met every one of my criteria. I'm no knife expert, and I really don't have the appreciation (or at least the budget) for the higher quality knives that are out there. Here's what I was looking for: 1) Good price point. I got mine for $25. This is a basic EDC for me, and being in my pocket (see 2 below) vs my belt or a sheath means it has at least some chance of being lost at any time. So there's no point in paying 5x as much for a zero tolerance or other higher end knife. 2) I'm in a white collar environment. I probably shouldn't even have an EDC on me at work at all since some would consider it a 'weapon', whereas I consider it a tool. So the sleek look is another bonus. I was expecting the handle to be a little slick but that's really not the case at all. It looks and feels good. 3) I was using a cheap Gerber that was pretty tiny. About the size of a SOG Flash 1. I wanted something that wasn't much longer (see 2 above) but had a little more beef to it. The Cryo has a slightly longer handle but is easily 50% wider and just fits much better in my hand. But the blade actually seems a little stubby compared to the handle.....which is what I wanted. The blade is plenty big enough for EDC uses, but probably not big enough for people to freak out when they see it. 4) I wanted something with a flipper and thumb stud. Very nice assisted opening action. The flipper actually works so well that the thumb stud isn't even necessary. I'm not going to get into what kind of steel the blade is made from, or the fact that it's made in China, or tip up or tip down. Other reviewers will cover that. It's a $25 knife from a reputable manufacturer that meets my needs perfectly. I will keep it in my amazon cart and watch for a price drop just so I can make sure I have a spare. Hope this review is helpful.

Great pocket knife
I received the Kershaw Cryo one week ago and really like it. IMO it is a nice looking knife and the finish is superb. I have never had a "flipper" knife before and really like that feature. The knife opens effortlessly and fast using the flipper and yet the blade stays firmly in place when the knife is closed. The thumb stud is useless on the Cryo due to the fact that there is no cut-out on the knife frame to easily access the stud with your thumb. However due to its' flipper design I personally see no reason why someone would use the thumb stud on the Cryo. The blade was very sharp out of the box. The pocket clip can be put in four different places on the knife which is another great feature. However, I did have a hard time trying to move the Pocket Clip to a different position, due the the fact that one of the tiny T6 screws that holds the pocket clip in in place was lock-tited with red loctite. and nearly impossible to remove. The difficulty that I encounter moving the pocket clip to a different position is the reason that I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 stars. IMO blue thread locker should have been used instead of red thread locker. Overall I am very pleased with the Kershaw Cryo and would buy it again. It's a nice looking knife at a very reasonable price.

Great edc for a good price.
Great edc knife for a good price. Feels good in the hand. I like the little extra weight from the metal scales. Quality pocket clip, tight enough to hold well without being difficult to get in and out.

Kauftip!

It's sharp and sturdy, but quite heavy and requires to much pressure to deploy. In 2023 there are better alternatives. I have large hands and to me it's a three finger grip.
