Privacy!
I recently installed the HIDBEA Frosted Window Privacy Film on my front door, and I couldn't be happier with the results. If you are looking for an effective way to balance natural light with home privacy, this is a fantastic choice. Stress-Free Installation: As someone who usually dreads DIY projects involving adhesives, the static cling design was a game-changer. It was incredibly easy to reposition during the process, and since there’s no glue, there’s zero sticky mess to worry about. Instant Curb Appeal: It looks clean and professional. It transformed the look of my front entryway, giving it a modern, etched-glass appearance that looks much more expensive than it actually is. Excellent Heat & UV Control: The difference in temperature is noticeable. It does a great job of blocking the harsh midday sun and reducing glare without making the interior feel dark or cave-like. Total Privacy: It provides the perfect level of "frosted" coverage. I no longer have to worry about people seeing directly into the house, yet I still get to enjoy soft, diffused sunlight throughout the day.

Extremely easy to apply and looks great!
This is a Great product. I applied this privacy film to the lower half of a window in my shower and it could not have been easier to install. My biggest advice is to CLEAN your window good and when you think its clean, clean it again. I used a razor blade and Windex. Also be sure to have a sharp new blade to cut the film for a nice smooth edge. It looks great and lets plenty of light in and has not budged since I applied it.

Beautiful Rainbow Effect, Slight Sizing & Installation Effort
The rainbow effect after installing the window film is very aesthetic and looks great. Although the width is slightly smaller (about a quarter inch less), it still looks very good once applied. Installation is not completely smooth, as extra length needs to be cut and excess material has to be trimmed after installation. Overall, the visual effect makes it worth the effort.

Great privacy effect, installation takes some patience
This frosted window privacy film works very well and does exactly what I needed. The privacy effect is excellent — it lets in plenty of light while completely blocking the view from outside. Once installed, the room feels much more comfortable and private, especially during the day. The material itself is good quality and looks clean and modern on the window. It sticks well once applied properly and hasn’t peeled or bubbled after installation. That said, installing it does require a bit of technique and patience. I highly recommend taking your time, using enough water, and smoothing it slowly to avoid air bubbles. After getting the hang of it, the final result looks great. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the privacy performance and appearance. As long as you’re careful during installation, this is a great option for anyone needing extra privacy without blocking natural light.

Buy this brand
Very good quality and easy to install with the correct tools. I live in Az and the front windows face south. Made a huge improvement on the heat coming in these windows. I bought the black/silver and love the shade, not too dark but just right for what I wanted and the windows also look great from the outside. I'm sure this will help with my heating and cooling bills big time.

Needs better instructions and indicators on the product.
I love the concept. Application was not as cut and dry as implied. It was hard to peel away from the backing. It was very difficult to tell which side went where as there is no visible marker on the product. So I have no idea if I put it up right. Actually think I put it up wrong because of this. But I can’t see a thing on the outside after dark if you do it that way lol. 😂 also darkens the light coming in which was not my personal goal. I was trying to keep out the peeping toms during the day while letting in the daylight and being able to see outside.

Just what my windows needed!
To be honest, I was very skeptical about putting this film on my windows. I previously had 1” shutters on the lower half of this 3 window set. They had yellowed in places over the years, had broken pieces, were hard to keep clean, and constantly allowed bugs and cobwebs to collect behind them. The shutter brackets also prevented me from being able to use the tilt sash feature on the windows which was aggravating. I knew I needed to get something else on these windows!! This product was extremely durable and easy to work with. After the first window, the process was a breeze. I recommend doing your most inconspicuous window first to work out any issues. My biggest issue was that I didn’t have a super sharp utility blade to cut the excess. I fixed that before I proceeded to the next window, and things went much smoother. I love that this application gives me the privacy that is needed, yet allows enough light for my plants. I think it looks cleaner, more contemporary, and opens up the area without having those busy, clumsy shutters there. And let’s be honest…..this is a heck of a lot cheaper than other window coverings. I also like that this is not permanent. Once dried it is very secure though. Time will tell how it withstands cleaning etc. All in all, this is a WIN WIN for me! Just for FYI: I used the ‘frosted’ film. It was the right choice for me. I think the white would have been too opaque and I didn’t want the busy-ness of the design ones

Room cooling film!
The primary benefit of mirror film is the increased privacy it offers. During daylight, the reflective surface ensures that people outside cannot see in, while you can still enjoy the view from inside. It’s perfect for cooling rooms that get a lot of sun. The film effectively reduces the amount of heat entering through the windows by reflecting a significant portion of sunlight. This can lead to a cooler indoor environment and reduced air conditioning costs, making it both comfortable and energy-efficient. The mirror film blocks harmful UV rays, protecting your skin and preventing furniture, flooring, and artwork from fading. This prolongs the life of your interior furnishings. The sleek, modern look of mirror film can enhance the exterior appearance of your home or office building. It provides a polished, uniform look to the windows. The film actually made our windows look slightly blacked out which I thought was pretty cool. By reflecting sunlight, the film helps reduce glare inside the room, making it easier to watch TV, work on a computer, or read without straining your eyes. It has helped tremendously with the glare on the tv from the window. This alone is worth it. The installation is easy enough, but not very forgiving. If you make a mistake and the film folds and you are stuck with the crease. This is the one think I wish was better. The mirror effect reverses at night when lights are on inside, potentially compromising privacy. Additional window coverings may be needed for complete nighttime privacy. This is normally what most people dislike about the film. I, however, don't mind it at all because I still use blinds and curtains for additional privacy. Hope this helps!! I will post a photo and update soon!
