Classic Gray Baseplate 10701 Building Toy Compatible with Building Bricks for Kids Play (1 Piece)

This is the second gray baseplate I've bought, and it's still a great piece. It's pretty large, so you can use it for a lot of things. You can use it to create Lego dioramas, display figures, or for stop motion animation. It's slightly flexible due to its size, but it's durable if you're not purposely trying to destroy it. I'd say the price is pretty good for such a large chunk of plastic, and a couple of these are definitely worth it depending on what you need them for. Great buy!

I bought a few of these gray LEGO baseplates for my son, and they’ve been perfect for his LEGO builds and stop-motion animation projects. The size is great, they’re sturdy, and they give him a solid base to build scenes and film his animations. He’s been using them nonstop and is really happy with them. Definitely recommend for kids who love building or creating videos with LEGO.

Works well with any Lego blocks. The colors of baseplates represents the different sizes and back drops for end product. Example: blue= water, green= grass , gray= city. All baseboards are very durable and made of quality materials. For any age. I would recommend this Seller.

Picked this up to use as a backdrop/base for a gift for my wife and it worked perfectly for the purpose. The 48x48 stud size is noticeably larger than the standard 32x32 baseplates — which is the main reason to go for this one if you need a bigger footprint for a display or larger LEGO build. The gray color is versatile and neutral enough to work as a backdrop without drawing attention away from whatever you're building on it. The stud grip is solid — bricks hold firmly at any angle, which matters if you're displaying something you want to stay put and look clean. At this size there's a bit of flex if you pick it up by one edge, so supporting it from underneath when moving is a good habit, but for stationary display it's not an issue. The one thing worth flagging for anyone considering this: prices on LEGO baseplates creep up quietly over time. This one has gone up a couple of dollars in the past year, and for a single flat piece of plastic that stings a little. Worth checking if you can catch it at a lower price point, and definitely worth comparing against third-party alternatives if budget is a factor — the official LEGO quality is hard to argue with, but the price premium is real. For a display base or a big creative build though, it does the job well.

I got 3 of these for my siblings and they absolutely loved them. My sister always had trouble taking out all her lego as it takes a long time so now everything is much more organized. These are super great for little children and even adults. I was worried that the legos may not fit but everything turned out great. My siblings like them so much that I'm buying them for a second time as not all their legos fit, thanks for giving us a cheaper but authentic lego base plate. The ones in the stores are twice as much but with the same quality. I am so thankful that I do not have to step on another piece of lego again!
