helps keep pressure off
I broke my heel bone and couldn't put weight on it so I bought this shoe. The size is adjustable from toe to heel. I have woman's shoe size 8.5 and bought a small and it works, it works better when I have the ace bandage on it and a sock (better fit). This is so much better than trying to walk on the ball of my foot without the shoe. It is light weight (lighter than my nike tennis shoe) There is amble cushion on the sole and pretty easy to walk in, I have a slight limp wearing my regular nike on my other foot, but when I wear my work boot I don't limp at all. WALK SLOWER THAN NORMAL this makes a huge difference. If you try to walk like a regular shoe you will feel pain on the heel and not have as good of balance. Make each step purposeful.

If you wear these shoes-take care!
The shoes are made of fabric, Velcro, and have cut-outs where heels would normally be. A few faults: the velcro destroys the cloth fabric of the shoes. The Velcro traps come loose while I'm walking-all the time, no matter how tightly I adjust them. And it's hard to retain your balance on shoes with no heels. And never try to pivot, or you mayvend up on the floor, as I did. I have unfortunately bought and wrn out countless pairs of these shoes.

A must for diabetic ulcers
I bought this for my mom as recommended by her wound dr. It helped to relieve the pressure on her heal from a diabetic ulcer. Easy to use for her, which she uses a rolling walker and has balance issues. I was concerned when I ordered it due to her balance issues but she had zero problem adjusting to using this shoe. I did order a regular shoe by the same maker for the other foot so she was more even on shoe thickness and that really helped keep her balanced.

Great Surgical Shoes
Got these for my diabetic dad and they cover his toes. They seem to kerp his feet stable. Actually his feet have improved since I got these for him. I would definitely buy these again. And the price is great. I would buy them from Amazon before I'd ever let a doctor hive me one. Plus the sole is a little thicker than other surgical shoes. That's great for my dad and the sites on his feet.

I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews about this shoe. I thought I would try it out and return it if it wasn’t right for me. It is very clunky, uncomfortable and noisy, the underside is not flat, so it rocks back-and-forth one tries to walk. When I try to return it, I discovered it is not returnable. I don’t know what to do with this shoe now I’d like to give it away to someone who needs it, but don’t know how to do that.
