Great to blend with other curry powders if you like Japanese curry

As a young man stationed in Japan in the early 1980s, I first discovered curry (I know curry originated in Pakistan / India) as a common Japanese food item, and fell in love with it. Traveling back to the states it at that time was difficult to find, except some stores that carried a large variety or imported spices had this brand of curry powder, and I found it was about as close as I could get to that restaurants I had experienced back in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. I have been enjoying this for many years now, and while there are now MANY curry blends available, I still find this is my personal favorite. I am so happy that I can get these larger cans through amazon, rather than the little 3 ounce cans, it is nicely more economical. I always stock this product. Very versatile, add it on rice, chicken, soup, sauce.

Nice quality and flavor though a bit expensive. The fact that it has no preservatives was a buying point!

I usually got this imported but decided to try buying it a little closer to home. Packaging is different, ingredients are the same but it seems off. Upside, tastes similar to the oriental curry from s&b and you get a giant can for the price, fast shipping. I’m a little torn.

As always i have yet to find a product from this company that i do not like. Curry rue, curry flakes, peppers, salts, other spices all very flavorful

A very delicious Curry Powder

しっかりとしたカレー粉です。香辛料が完璧にブレンドされており良い風味の良い辛さだと思います。たとえばカレー料理の翌日はコクは出ますがカレー風味がやや落ちるので、いつもこれを入れます。入れ過ぎてもカレーが濃くなるだけで味が壊れることはないので、厳格にならずその時の気分で入れても私の場合は大丈夫です。お勧めしたい一品です。

Perfect for Japanese style curry.

値段は市販のルーと大きく変わらないどころが高いかもしれない。 しかし小麦粉を使っていないので、ダイエットなどの際は効果が出そうです。 気軽に料理に振りかけてなんでもカレー味にできるのもいいですね。
