what size linear drain will work better in the 48x48 single slope base?

Theoretically, the 48" kerdi-line drain would work. Keep in mind that if your shower base is anything less than 48" then it won't work. I paired a 36" kerdi-line drain with my 48" kerdi sloped base. Another consideration is your drain pipe location. The 36" drain allowed me to move it to avoid floor joists, which would not have been possible with the 48" drain.

Can i fit the 48" klv60e120 in this tray? i would like to span the entire center with the drain with no tile on the left or the right.

First off i am only a DIY'er. I just put one of these in, but I used the offset version of this tray. I could have spanned the entire length of my pan with a drain if i wanted to without issue. The only thing to consider is how you will finish those ends. you will have the water proofing membrane on each side so as long as that stays in place i don't see any problems.

I have a 32” linear drain. Would I be able to just cut out 32” to install it?

This shower pan can accommodate several different sizes of Schluter linear drains. The markings for the acceptable size drains indicating where to trim the pan are on the back side of the tray.

Are these trays trimmable for a custom size shower?

Yes you can cut them to size. You can also extend them with mortar bed. As I did with mine.
