Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer (Pack of 6)

So here's the deal. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan. I even hold Harry Potter marathons at my house.. (yeah, I know) anyway, the one thing I haven't done yet, but hope to do when I can afford it, is go to Universal, to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and try the Butter Beer there. Now, a lot of people are comparing this to that. Again, I've never been to Universal and had it, but I thinks it's unfair. I've looked up how to make it, I've spoken to people who've had the Butter Beer at Universal, and also tried this at my house..... and the simple answer is, this is Butterscotch Creme Soda.. It is NOT Harry Potter's Butter Beer. Now, that being said, I do love me some Butterscotch.. and if you like Butterscotch, you'll like this. It's very very good and I even bought several of them, and we all shared them at one of our Marathons, along with some Bertie Bots and other things.. Which is very fun to do. But make no mistake, if you're purchasing this, hoping it's "Butter Beer." It is not.. But if you're purchasing it cause it's a fun drink and you love Butterscotch, then enjoy. We sure did.

Officially, this product has no connection to Harry Potter. I've never had the Universal Studios beverage but judging this on its own mertis, I enjoyed the taste. I can certainly imagine this is what the faous Harry Potter drink might taste like. Even if this is an "unofficial version" of the drink, it certainy gets the job done and can stand on its own. Highly recommended.

If you like butterscotch you will like this soda.

This item was falsely described as "Harry Potter Butter Beer". There is no Harry Potter connection. It's just disgustingly sweet butterscotch soda with a diet "stevia" aftertaste. Even my 8-year-old hated it. I contacted Amazon about the bogus description & it has been revised since I bought the item, but DON'T be fooled by the flying cauldron reference (it's actually "The Leaky Cauldron" in the HP books) & waste your money. Seller apologized for the "misunderstanding" (it was clearly a case of false advertising not a misunderstanding) & promised a refund. Totally disappointing experience.

Yes, it's not real butterbeer. Do I care? Nope! It could do without the stevia, as that pushes it from perfect to just this side of too sweet. I can only drink half a bottle at a time, but that's hardly a bad thing. It's delicious other than that. If you don't like butterscotch, don't waste your money. If you like the idea of sweet liquid butterscotch, then this is for you! I was pleasantly surprised that the ingredients were actually all natural, although stevia extract can make it taste artificial. They're pretty and even if it's not The Leaky Cauldron (or more appropriately, Hogsmeade or Hogs Head Pub), but you can pretend. We muggles can enjoy our generic butterbeer.

I bought this for my little cousin so he could have the "harry potter drink"....and to be honest, some for me too. If you add a scoop of vanilla ice cream like it suggested on the bottle, I think that it really comes close to the one that they sell at Universal Studios. I know someone said that they were disappointed that there was no foam like the in HP world but it foams up when you add the ice cream!! It is really sweet and a bit expensive but I think if you're a Harry Potter fan with a sweet tooth, it's really worth it!!

Too sweet! best to drink it cold, and by cold I mean semi-frozen. Otherwise it is very sweettrt

If you like butter beer, this might be your thing. No guarantees, though, as it seems to be a hit or miss even with fans. I prefer the frozen at the park, but this was an ok substitute until I can get back there again.

Good quality, arrived quickly, can’t comment on taste it’s a Christmas gift .
