I have used this product with several dogs now. My current dog is a giant breed that is somewhat rare in the USA (Aksaray Malakli and Alabai mix). As a young pup, their growth rate is extreme, especially in my case as a chosen mix with crazy growth rates. To insure healthy development, it is necessary to make sure they have access to the nutrients required for safe development and growth, but without taking a risk of overfeeding which can risk bloat easily in these deep chested breeds. My current dog is 14 months old, and still will be morphing and developing for many more months. During this first year of life, he has went from a young puppy, to standing over 36 inches tall at the shoulder and easily weighing over 200 lbs (currently 215 to 220 lbs). He burns a great deal of calories, and needs a great deal. However it is hard for a young pup to keep up with the demand at times and this product has truly helped. It contains important nutrients and supplements for a growing pup, along with joint support (MSM) and other key elements to boot. I serve his kibble flash soaked in hot water, drained well, and then mixed with Pet Care Science. This allows it to stick to the kibble and the slightly moistened food is easier on the puppy to consume and helps prevent upset. It also provides it an easier way to stick to the kibble and when mixed seems to be delicious for the dog. The taste is not that bad and my dog really enjoys it. (Yes, I am one of those who taste test their dogs food). You end up with the caloric needs without as much bulk as just adding more kibble, which would not meet the necessary needs to begin with. As a result, I have a dog in great health, which eats less than other dogs of less size, but who has a more complete diet. Despite his size, he is agile and athletic, fast on his paws and very trim and muscular looking without a big belly like many of the unhealthy dogs quoted as being this large. Make sure that you do not cheat on a quality kibble, fresh diet or the like, or this is all in vain. Currently his health is fantastic, energy is high, no behavioral issues, and he sleeps well. His breeds both live long lives, especially for a giant breed, so care is important to me, to insure he gets the best. As a service dog, my life is also in his hands, and he gives his to keep me safe. I would only give him the very best. This is a versatile product that can also be used in a number of ways. I cannot recommend it enough. Always consult a veterinary dietician for advice pertinent to your dog before beginning any meal plan to insure it is compatible with their breed.

WOW, what a difference this has made in my 14 year old diabetic pug. I thought I was losing my dog because he has been losing weight over the last couple months even though he has been eating his food. He has been showing less and less interest in his food as well and that is not like him. So I did some research and came across this product. He has been on it about 3 weeks and already gained back 1 pound. He has about 3 more pounds to gain back and he will be back to his normal weight. He has so much energy its like turning back the time on this dog. Its amazing to watch everyday. I think he can even see better if that is possible. He no longer has his chronic skin and ear inflammation (we had to stop his apoquel because is gave him dangerous diarrhea that he almost died from). I dont even need to stir in wet food to his soaked dry food to get him to eat. I just put 1/3 of the supplement on his food with a little coconut oil just to make it stick morning/afternoon/night and he just wolfs it down. He also is less painful with his his dysplasia and arthritis in his spine. He almost no longer drags his feet, and he can get up without assistance now. I am very impressed. My Mom is now trying it on her dog because her Jack Russell has luxating patellas and urinary incontinence. She is also 14 years old. She is on alot of pain meds and was still whining alot, and when walking she would limp. She couldn't jump off the couch or the bed anymore, and she is almost blind. She has been on the supplement 1 week and this is what we have seen. She can now hold her pee from 2-3 hours to 6-8 hours. Actually yesterday I slept 12 hours and she didn't even wake me up and she didn't have and accident. She can jump off couchs, and beds and she doesn't make any whining noises, or pain noises for a very long time. If you call her name she will actually look at you. So I think her cataracts are reducing some. I have also noticed she isn't running into things at all. She is now ingaging with other dogs and trying to play. She hasn't done that in 3 years. I have 2 German Shepherd’s in the Philippines that has been neglected by their caretaker, my Male GSD who is almost 3 years old was down to 37lbs, looked like skin and bones and the Female GSD was worse, her legs would wobble when she walks, we have increased the amount of their food added meat to the kibbles, added other weight gain supplements that were available in the Philippines, they got a little better after 3 months but was still extremely underweight, I got desperate and bought 2 90 servings bags of this product before I went home last June, We started giving it to my dogs June 21 I was skeptical at first but after 4 weeks of using weight gainer my Male GSD went up from 44lbs to 66lbs and my Female GSD weighed 58lbs. I love this. I have a senior dog who is on Prozac and has lost weight. I needed help so I started using weight gainers and he gained a little weight but he definitely hasn’t lost any more weight. He seems to love the taste, I put it right in his food. I recommend it for senior dogs.
