I really like how silk and smooth this tanner feels! It’s not sticky tacky goop like some other brands can be and it’s really effective. Applying it went well as the product isn’t too thick or too thin, so making an even coat wasn’t an issue. It has a dark green tint which makes the product give its deep rich glow which is good for some medium toned to darker tone flesh colors. The effect is as though you’ve been in the sun deep in the tropics near the equator getting a daily golden caramel baked glow from some strong sun rays for a couple weeks. Works great and could be used for other than face in a pinch if needed...though you’ll probably want to buy a bigger bottle first because you’ll love it!!

I am a reasonably fair skinned Caucasian person whose body can become moderately tan but my face does not, just burns and freckles. I don't tan my face at all and require a self tanner that makes my face color match my body. I have tried many expensive ones, and this is the best and most reasonably priced I have found. The stain works almost immediately and dries quickly so you have to work fast to smooth it evenly over your face. I skip the step of wearing a glove to apply and wash my hands immediately afterward but usually have to scrub with a wash cloth to get the color off. if you wait several minutes, you can add another layer to deepen the color (wash hands in between layers) but I use a generous amount with the first application so I usually don't have to. Most of the other facial self tanners I have tried have not been dark enough, even with multiple applications. This gives you a noticeable tan with just one application. Warning: it comes out of the bottle very alarmingly dark but it won't be dark like that after you apply it.

I gave this product three stars because I don't think it is dark enough. You need to put it on daily and thick to keep color, if you have a pale complexion. However, the lotion does not make me break out, is a quality tanner, was affordable, and was shipped fast.

(UPDATE: I have noticed the price for this item can change drastically on Amazon. It is REALLY ridiculous how a product can increase in cost by 300% in one week!! Don't buy it when it's ridiculously priced at 25-35$ or more. Put it in your cart and monitor the price fluctuations. I am really upset that I purchased this last month for $11 and now seller wants $35+!) As an avid self tanner, I find this product to be superior for my face and neck.I apply with a facial tanning mitt to avoid getting it on my hands. Can look a little odd when first applied (wet), but as long as you apply evenly and blend it with your hairline it looks good when it dries, and even better with a thin layer of foundation over the top. A little goes a long way! The gel-like self tanner spreads easily and covers well. Color is not orange or green. Looks very natural. As most self tanners, it only lasts through one or two washes, but if you apply often it's not a problem. It's best to keep your self tan fresh anyhow.

I have used a lot of facial tanners, and this one is a winner, by far the best I've tried. After only 3 applications, I see a definite difference in my skin tone. The color looks like a natural, sun-acquired tan. You only need a little, easily applied with the gloves that come with your order. I put it on at night before bed and let it dry. Protect your pillow though, as some of the tint rubs off. I really like this tanner.

I was disappointed. I've used all kinds of self tanners and this one was the most difficult of any. I know the proper way to apply them.. This didn't blend evenly no matter the effort. I was left with major streaks. Had to throw it out. HOWEVER, I did like the color it developed.. I wish it'd been different..

The color that I get from Sun Labs strictly faces is perfect. It does make age spots darker so I try to avoid them and after applying the lotion I use a Q-tip and liquid eye makeup remover to clean off the spot. This seems to work. I also wash my face with an exfoliating face wash once a week to clean out my pores otherwise the build up looks like blackheads.
