Pore Refining Toner, Alpha and Beta Hydroxy Formula, 8.5 Ounce

The smell is kind of strong but okay. The product is amazing. I have extra sebum production and slightly acne prone skin, and this is a life saver. If I have a pimple coming in, I will soak a cotton bud or some tissue in this and let it rest on my skin for probably way too long, but it is SUPER effective at reducing how long I have to deal with the pimple and redness. If I remove sebum from my pores, I will do the same thing: soak a cotton bud or tissue in this and let it rest until it has evaporated. I do get a slight burning sensation because my skin is super sensitive, but I don't have to deal with any lingering redness the next day from irritated skin. (Both because of removing stuff from my skin with force, and use of the product.) I love this stuff so much. Cons: Do not apply close to your nostrils or eyes though. It will sting and irritate them. Try to avoid breathing in a lot of the fumes, for the same reason. If you have sensitive skin, like I do, do a patch test in a couple different areas, to be safe.

This is an excellent toner. It is the only toner that I use and I've been using it for over a decade. I use it after cleansing my face and I find that it cleans deep down and get rid of dirt and grime left behind. It does not strip my skin and leaves it feeling so smooth. A bonus I discovered is that it works to sooth itchy mosquito bites and helps the bites go away quicker. I kid you not.

Not only do I love this product and swear by it, but my husband does as well (possibly even more than I do) and I could not believe how quickly I was able to see a significant change in my skin and I was completely blown away by the change in my husband's skin after only a week or two as he has dealt with larger pores since his high school days and when I tell you this stuff is magic in a bottle I am not kidding. I'm legitimately crushed and grieving the loss of this product. I'm guessing it was discontinued like a lot of the really good products lately considering the outrageous price tag on it from a seller that must have had a stockpile of it and/or bought a bunch of it when it was initially discontinued & has hiked the price through the roof knowing that there are probably people out there that would pay this because they love it. Even worse is the fact that Neutrogena just pulled it with 0 explanation and replaced it with a new product that is nowhere near the quality of this one and is nowhere near as effective. I've been searching FOREVER trying to find another brand that is a similar dupe for this with no luck finding anything similar whatsoever.

I've been using this toner for a few days now, but after 2-3 uses I've noticed a difference in the the size of my pores. They shrink after a moment or two after putting it on, but the effects don't last after I wash my face. I probably need to use it for a while longer like other people have said before I notice a somewhat permanent result. On the other hand, it successfully removes a lot of dirt that's been clogging my pores! I can see all of it on the cotton pad and I'm surprised by how much junk is left on my skin after using my cleanser. I do have a problem with the smell. It's probably because of the alcohol in the product that's making it a little too strong for my taste. The alcohol also stung my skin the first use, but it's gotten significantly better. Does not dry my skin out at all. I use it mainly in the morning before I head out and during the day when I need a pick me up for my skin (: Overall I give this toner 4 stars! Recommended for oily skin (I see less oil on days that I use this toner)

The Neutrogena Pore Refining line of products are the best I've ever used. Nothing I've tried has come close to these. I am SO disappointed they discontinued these products! The scrub worked so well that I didn't even need the toner. I stretched out my last container long enough to last until a few months ago. I wish they would bring the toner, face scrub AND spf face cream back... Pleeease!!

I’ve been using this toner for years and I swear by it!! I have combination skin that is mostly oily. I put a little bit of the product on a cotton ball and apply it to my face in the evening, or after a shower or working out. It smells great and it does tingle for a second. It has not overdried my skin and it definitely helps my break outs clear up faster. That being said, when you try a new product, your skin can “purge” which is why some people may experience a break out at first. The product is bringing all the grime in your pores to the surface. Keep using it and give it a fair shot. Also, some people complain about the lack of seal... I buy this product at my local target and it also comes unsealed. Never had an issue with it though!

I had an OLD OLD OLD bottle of this that I only recently realized is perfect for my aging skin. I bought it in my early 30s and still had it my cusp of 40s. I realized recently that the acids in this toner are perfect for combating sunspots, large pores, skin texture and even fine lines. I now use it almost every night after washing and before using my serums and moisturizer. When I'm feeling lazy, this is my last step and my skin still looks great the next day. When I ran out of my very old bottle, I tried to find it in stores and couldn't so I tried a few other things and my skin started to go back to the blotchy old mess it was. Luckily I found it on here and I'm considering stocking up for the end of the world because now I never want to run out.

I have been buying this for 10 years and it’s the only product that keeps my skin clear. I used to get acne on my back but after using this regularly, it’s gone and stayed gone. If you have sensitive skin then maybe the alcohol will bother you but it’s never been an issue for me. Just use moisturizer after and you’ll be fine.

I never use anything with alcohol in it except for this, it never dries out my skin and if it does I'm sure every other day would still be worth it. It's amazing for acne and fine lines and tone of skin. If you're looking for a toner with glycolic acid, this is the original and best. I'm obsessed with skin care and have tried all the trendy new stuff.

Bought this because I wanted to shrink my pores on my nose, it has done this, but more than that it has helped with my acne. I only use it on my chin and nose, nose for the pores and chin because thats where all my acne is. My scars have diminished and I'm not breaking out as bad. It took a few days to get use to as it is very strong. Smells strong of alcohol and can sting if you have any open areas or cuts on your face. But overall it has been working for me and I'll continue to use it !!
