Retique It Chalk Furniture Paint, 32 Fl Oz (Pack of 1), 08 Midnight Black

This paint is awesome! The coverage is unbelievable. I bought it in black to paint my son's closet that we are turning into a gaming station. It covered with one coat, over white. I am a professional painter and tgis is the best coverage I've ever seen. There was no smell once the paint was dry. I felt like my son could sleep in there tonight. Normally I'd vent a room out for weeks with a zero VOC paint. This paint mostly has a chalky smell. The color was beautiful. It is a very attractive dark charcoal black. I can't wait to get the blue color for the rest of his room!

My chairs were sorry looking. White Haitian cotton upholstery was long past it's day, and several dogs and kids didn't help. Even with professional upholstery cleaning, they had gotten to the point of staying dingy looking. Time for a change. And truthfully, I just wanted to buy new chairs, but nothing I found locally was nearly as comfortable as our chairs -- and nothing was as good a match to our dinette area. So I decided to try chalk furniture paint after reading so many posts on different blogs about how great it works on upholstery. I figured I had nothing to lose... The chairs look fabulous, and it's thanks to this great paint. I dampened the fabric first with a spray bottle, and I added a 1/4 quantity of water to the paint for the first coat. When that dried, I did a second coat at full strength, and when that was dry, I waxed the chairs. They look fabulous and I'm thrilled!

What's not to like about "Retique It" Chalk Furniture Paint? This time I purchased the black chalk paint and painted our dining room chairs and dining room table legs. I had the project done in no time, and did it indoors (as my table was too heavy to move). This chalk paint is non-toxic and almost odorless. The paint went on smooth without streaking and dried true to the color description. It was quick drying, so I was able to begin the second coat as soon as one coat was dry. Clean-up was literally a breeze with this paint, one of the easiest paints to remove from brushes that I have ever used. I was highly pleased with the renovation of our table and chairs, and would highly recommend this Renaissance Chalk Paint to others.

Turned out great and easy to use. The only complaint I have is they changed the container it was in apparently. It used to be in a normal paint container and now in a plastic screw top container. So if paint gets on the outside and you close and use it again later, it’s tough to open back up. Just be sure to wipe the paint after pouring. But overall happy with how both pieces turned out. Was able to do both dressers with 32oz.

I'm a good painter and carpenter, but have feared changing an oak chair for fear of having to "refinish" it. This paint and the wax was tons easier than I expected, and tons better looking than I could have hoped for. Clean the furniture with water to remove dust, etc. Paint a couple coats (goes quickly!). Apply wax and wipe with old tee shirt, and VOILA! You've got a gorgeous new piece of furniture. I went from oak to black and it looks like a perfect piece in just a couple hours (since I watched videos on youtube), but second chair more like 3 twenty minute steps to completion!

I purchased a beautiful dining table years ago. Problem was the top was stained brown and the legs were black but I wanted the whole table black. I did a terrible job trying to refinish it, and ended up putting a table cloth on it to hide what I’d done. Didn’t expect it to take 6 years before I got around to fixing it but life happens. I sanded down my old botched paint job, applied 1 coat of Binz primer, three coats of this paint in midnight black, and two coats of satin spray polyurethane. (With drying time between all those coats, this project took 3 days.) I love my table even more now than when I first bought it! My husband was shocked at how beautiful it turned out, and all of our guests have raved over how nice it looks. You can’t tell this table wasn’t always like this straight from the manufacturer, which is exactly what I was going for. I’m definitely going to repurchase this paint and refinish my coffee table in the spring.

Awesome product and great coverage. Painted my cherry bedroom suite to give it a more modern look.

I love this product. It went on really smooth. The paint is dense enough where there’s little to know splash or splatter. I was just about to throw this chest away after I was disappointed by an oil based black paint. Though the bottle is little you can get away with one coat. I was able to paint my tv stand as well.👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
