Five years ago around Christmas, I was walking through the mall and found one of those kiosks selling HerStylers. I purchased my original Seasons-5 HerStyler for OVER $100. Frankly, it's way better than a Chi and I figured it was well worth the price. A year ago, one of the side caps popped off and I lost the screw pin that holds the two pieces together (not saying it was bad quality, I'm a bit rough on my stuff, so 4 years of perfect use was good enough for me). Expecting to have to pay another whopping fee, I simply took craft wire and strung it through wiring the two back together. Talk about a Hazard. I took it back to the booth and was told by the guido working at the time that without a receipt (really, 5 years later I'm supposed to STILL have that?) they couldn't do anything, but was willing to sell me a new one for $90... WTF? Needless to say, this particular item is two years newer (Seasons-7) gets 10 degrees hotter, is brand new, and was a whole $100 cheaper than the mall! A 3-day shipping wait was well worth the money I saved. I really feel like Chi just makes their items "pretty & shiny" and charge out the @ss for their name, while this product is actual, good quality that will LAST! I'm sure I would still have my 1st one had I taken better care of it. I am absolutely in LOVE with this flat iron! <3 -------------------UPDATE--------------------- It has only been a little over a month, and one of the plastic plugs that cover the screws already fell out, which means the others are soon to be next. Also, a corner of one of the plates CRACKED, and then fell completely off! FELL OFF! Meaning, there is a gaoing hole in the end, perfect for snagging, pulling on, and BREAKING my hair. Joy.

My hair takes a really long time to straighten. This is the fastest straightener I have used so far. I know they have a lot of new ones coming out, which i did buy one from the mall, but honestly I don't see any difference in damage or usefulness. I would stick to this one for the price difference, even after getting a great deal on the new one. If I had to buy another, I'd buy this one. I have curly/ wavy/ frizzy hair and this controls the frizzy amazingly. Works fast, heats VERY fast** (be careful not to burn whatever you put it on! I once left mine on on carpet on top of the bag it came in and dyed my carpet pink.. oops. I forgot it though so it was hours. Never had an issue doing it while using it.) My hair is dry and impossible to tame with most straighteners. I now mostly leave it curly to avoid damage but if I were to straighten it again, I use this straightener because I feel it does less damage than others due to only having to use it one time over each area of hair vs several with other brands. I don't recommend using it on wet hair though. It steams, burns your head, and kinda feels like it's frying your hair... plus makes it frizzy and causes you to go over it several times vs once if it's dry. If you do use it wet, shake it gently as you go over the part next to your head to avoid getting burnt.

I had one of these straighteners years ago. My mom bought it for me when I was in high school. It finally broke a couple of years back because I dropped it too many times and the plates came off. I bought a different brand from Costco and it already broke! I went on the hunt for the same brand I had before (HerStyler) and I’m so glad I found it on Amazon! I hope it lasts me as long as my last one did, it works just like I remember & for a great price!

Purchase this immediately if you need a flat iron! It doesn't stag or crease the hair. It glides through with 1 pass and no frizz. Herstyler has worked better than my expense flat iron. I do wish it had a shut off feature.

This will be the best investment you will ever own, so dont feel uneasy about how good it is, or if its real..its all that, its real! Super fast shipping..Cracked open the box and plugged it right in. It heated up in no time, and I went to town on my hair. Pros: Comes in a cute satin bag, thats cushioned inside with fleece, and the Herstyler genuine box. Heats up super fast, flattens hair in one to two strokes, leaves my hair soft with no frizz. I have wavy long frizzy hair. Cons: pulls my hair, but I dont care, I'm just more careful, and it does'nt matter because my hair looks fab. The only advice I have is to be careful with the heat setting. It gets very hot, and I dont think putting the dial up to the full heat is a good idea (450) It can work just as good on a low setting. Or else you will fry your hair. Otherwise I love this tool, and its the best that I've ever had in my life. My hair has never ever looked so good. Its stick straight, shiny, and soft. I did my hair in no time..It usually takes 20 min to straighten my hair..Now it only takes about five minutes..And I dont look like my hair is dry, fried, and frizzy..I am so over looking like I tried to straighten my hair. Now my hair looks naturally straight. I'm totally in love.. BTW, I bragged to my friend about my find, and she told me she bought the Herstyler curling iron at the mall from those annoying sales people for 200.00. She was shocked at how much I only spent..which was free compared to her price. Telling all of my co- workers, classmates, and family..I'm even planning on buying some for my sister-inlaws..

I ordered on April 17th and still never got my item. When I placed the order, it said that it would be delivered between April 30th and May 3rd. Still nothing.. I wrote a few times to the seller, nothing.. It was supposed to be a gift, but it never got her. It says on the receipt that the order is late, but I can't track the package. Writing a bad review is my last resort of catching the seller's attention. I love this brand and this straightener. I've been using this brand for a couple of years. However I am very disappointed in the service that I am getting.
