Casio-Japan Movement...Excellent Value
For the price, this watch punches far above its weight. It’s an ideal everyday “grab-and-go” piece—extremely light, comfortable, and easy to forget you’re even wearing. Visibility is excellent thanks to clear numerals on both the dial and bezel, making time checks effortless. Minor scratches aren’t a concern since they can be polished out easily, and the Japanese quartz movement has been exceptionally accurate, outperforming expectations by a wide margin. Despite being the least expensive watch I own, it’s the one I reach for most often. I was initially hesitant due to its larger case size and the busy appearance of the dial, but those concerns disappeared once I started wearing it. The lightweight resin construction, reliable quartz precision, luminous hands, day-and-date display, affordable cost, and solid water resistance checked every box for me. In short, it delivers exactly what it promises and then some. I prefer analog watches because they allow me to visualize time naturally rather than reading digits. Even with multiple markings on the face, the layout remains intuitive and readable at a glance. In person, the watch looks better than photos suggest—clean edges, sharp printing, and a clear crystal. On my example, the seconds hand lines up accurately with the markers, which is a nice detail. The strap is soft and wearable, though the ridged section near the lugs wasn’t ideal for my wrist. I eventually swapped it for a NATO strap, which improved comfort for me. Fortunately, the watch accepts standard 18mm straps, including many aftermarket options designed for popular Casio models. The lume gets criticized online, but for my needs it’s sufficient. I can easily read the time in the dark after my eyes adjust, which is all I require. It may not compete with high-end lume, but it gets the job done. Water resistance is more than adequate—I have no concerns wearing it while swimming, showering, or doing outdoor activities. The bezel operates smoothly and, while not meant for precision timing, is perfectly usable for casual tasks like workouts, cooking, or tracking time zones. Accuracy over the long term has been consistent with what you’d expect from a quality quartz watch, rivaling far more expensive brands. Despite having a smaller wrist, the watch doesn’t look oversized. The ticking is nearly silent—you have to press it close to your ear to hear it at all, unlike some other analog watches that are noticeably loud. Build quality feels solid while remaining feather-light, and the matte finish adds a modern touch. What truly sets this watch apart is its functionality: accurate timekeeping, clear day and date display, dependable water resistance, and durable materials—all in a single, inexpensive package. I’ve owned much pricier watches, yet this one gets more attention and compliments than many of them ever did. In summary, if you want a reliable, comfortable, feature-rich analog watch that costs next to nothing and simply works day after day, this is hard to beat. It’s practical, tough, and surprisingly refined for the price. If value matters to you, this watch is an easy choice.

value
For the money this watch is an excellent value. It is better than what you often get for many times the price. I started wearing Casio because by job is hard on watches. I have broken every expensive watch I have owned. Casio G-Shocks I own have lasted a decade + and what always breaks is the band which are often hard to find replacements and costly. I really only need time and date and not the extra gadgetry so this watch is a perfect solution. The band is simple to replace with a variety of options at different prices that are readily available. It is a very attractive watch and is easy to read. My wrists are on the smaller side and it wears well. The only potential negative I see is that the bezel is flush with the crystal and offers no protection. I would love to see Casio make this with a taller bezel, solar and a backlight. It is light and comfortable. I cannot speak on the durability yet but If you are on the fence just buy one. You won't be disappointed.

I Really Like the Reasonable Price and Quality!!
I like watches, but can’t afford high end items. My priciest is a citizen, which I really love. I have a smartwatch I got from Amazon a few years ago, and like the all black look of it. I bought this Casio watch because I wanted something black with a white face, and this Casio was good looking and the reviews were mostly very good. It arrived in decent packaging and I put it on right away, been wearing it every day for four days. It keeps time surprisingly well for an economy watch, it has stayed on time with my iPhone ‘s robot overlord time keeping. My only negative critique is the watch band is very thin, almost looks feminine on my wrist. I’m going to see if I can change that.

Cheap But Accurate
I needed an inexpensive watch for a road trip that would give me the day and date and allow me to add a small compass to the band. Having had several Casio watches in the past I looked at that brand first. At first, I ignored this watch, because it was so inexpensive that I figured it couldn’t be worth anything. However, after looking at several more expensive versions I returned to look at the reviews on this watch. There were enough good things said about this watch that I decided to buy it. I figured that for the price of a few gallons of gas if it only lasted a month it would have met the requirement that I had for it. I got it several days ago and set it up immediately. Like several other reviewers have indicated, getting the day and date to change is a bit of a challenge initially. I resolved that by winding the minute hand past the point where I saw the date change and then continued to move that hand to after 5 AM. It was very easy to set the date and day at that point. Once I had it set up, I set the time using the Verizon time on my iPhone. I set the hour; the minute; and the second. Four days later the watch has not lost or gained a second. So it gets an A+ for accuracy. This watch is not a rugged watch but it appears that it will hold up to getting wet in rain or from perspiration and it will probably work pretty well in the humid environments. The numbers and markings on the face are very easy to see in the daytime. However, there are no luminous features on the markings so seeing it at night requires a light source. The battery claims it will work for five years in this watch. I doubt that I will be back to confirm that. The only negative comment I have is that this watch is made in the land of the Great Wall and surveillance balloons. I can’t understand why a company like Casio can’t come up with manufacturing locations in central and South America. *UPDATE* 8/4/24 - I have had this watch for a week and I am amazed. Either Verizon uses this watch to run their system clock, or this watch is tethered to my iPhone’s clock, or this watch has perfect time… Whatever it is, the watch has not lost or gained one second since I set it a week ago. For just over $20, even if it breaks down in a year, it is worth it for an outdoor or work watch. I would not hesitate to buy one again. *UPDATE* 12/18/24 Okay, here is an update that I really never figured I would make. This watch is as good, if not better, than my old Casios that crapped out after years of Army living in the field or my dress watches made by Seiko (the official timepiece of the Vietnam War). Other than the lack of luminous face features this watch is fantastic. It got a pretty good workout on the extended trip that I bought it for. It survived several soakings, jarring and long periods of extreme vibrations. The mechanical functions are still tight and the time is incredibly accurate, losing only a few seconds per month. So my advice is go ahead and buy one. If anyone from Casio is reading this I would suggest adding small tritium capsules at each hour on the face and tritium on the three hands, jack up the price a bit and sell it. It would be a great watch.

Great daily analog watch. Very soft, comfortable resin strap. Accurate, totally waterproof and looks great. I have a narrow wrist and despite the reasonably large stated dimensions, it doesn't look overly large at all. I don't notice the ticking sound from this watch at all. You have to hold it up to your ear to hear it at all. By comparison, I have a timex analog watch as well and I can hear it ticking from across the room. This Casio has Japanese made movement, so I figure its high quality. Only complaint is that the luminescence on the hands isn't really that great. Only lasts a couple of seconds, if anything. Overall, I'm very happy with the watch. Wear it daily, and hope it lasts a long time.

Very well made god the price and nice day / date feature Looks much more expensive than its price ! I’m traveling to Mexico and I was worried about being attacked and robbed if I wore one of my Swiss watches but with this beautiful Casio I will be ready for the cartel !
