Good product but major design flaw
So I purchased this product in the extra large size and noticed tearing in the foot pocket after the first of second use. Purchased a second as a replacement and had the same problem. I’ve seen tons of reviews of the smaller sizes and heard that it’s an excellent product so perhaps this can be fixed by changing the shape of the foot pocket for the larger size

Lots of fun and improves stroke
This fin is a lot of fun to practice and perfect your butterfly kick and stroke. You have to be very careful removing it - I have cut myself several times on the edges because it is not that easy to get on and off. You also need a lot of space - large pool or open water. This will not work in a backyard pool. It is designed for competitive swimmers. Size seems to be accurate. It is very tight but that is the way you want it.

Amazing wonderful marvelous fantastic
Amazing!! I had never tried a monofin before and WOW did I get going fast! It feels so effortless and really fun! The size chart put me in a L but i got bad blisters after first use so exchanged for XL and no longer have that problem. Not using with a sock either, though I could. One tip, my feet cramped up after a few min and I was worried it wasn’t going to work for me with the pain but I took a break to swim barefoot for a few min then put it back on and my feet didn’t cramp at all.

Amazing swim, pad your ankles for longer use!
I’m a professional mermaid and this fin cuts through the water like BUTTER. Great for training and toning core as well as fitting into fin fun fabric tails!! LOVE THIS FIN. The ONLY thing I recommend is that if you are taking this into the ocean or a sandy beach you should grab some neoprene/ neoprin socks to protect sand from rubbing on your ankles.

this is a really nice monofin. Definitely size up
Albeit slightly uncomfortable, as all monofins are, this is a really nice monofin. Definitely size up, as it is quite a tight fit. I wear an 8.5 shoe, and I wish I would have gotten a large.

Terrible Sizing
Sizing is terrible you need at least 2 sizes up, the quality is not that good as people saying or even close, it's just the lack of manufacturers who make those types of products for professionals what led to this type of poor quality

Ripped the footpockets during the first use, Had to attach new ones myself
Ripped the footpockets during the first use, completely garbage footpockets. Had to attach new ones myself. would have been nice if they sold the blade on its own, and get the footpockets separately Its fun, works good, and is good for practicing because it amplifies any imperfections in form like uneven kicks

Mind the Sizing!
This is my second Shooter, and I bought a Large. My first was a medium. I bought my monofin for use in Mermaiding, but my review is written based on swimming ONLY with the Shooter. If you are using a tail and it’s from Finfolk, check their website for sizing information as they recommend different sizing for use in mermaiding. I wear a women’s size 9 shoe. My feet are a little wide, but not enough that I have to specifically buy wide-sized shoes. The size chart recommends a medium. Monofins are supposed to be tight, but I found that the tightness I experienced with a medium was beyond what I was comfortable with, even after repeated use. The foot pocket itself was very tight, and left sore spots on the tops of my feet. I also got blisters on my big toes. Neoprene socks didn’t save me, and I realized my toes were getting squeezed to numbness so I threw in the towel and sized up. The Large is better, but still snug on the top. I stretched the foot pockets overnight which made a slight but noticeable difference, and waited until after my first swim before doing it again (which I will be doing). For my first swim I wore my socks and didn’t get blisters, but the tops of my feet still had sore spots and my toes got into the early stages of being numb (likely because of the top of my foot is still being compressed). I don’t plan to size up again since my toes aren’t at the end of the pocket as you can see in my shoddy diagram, though I know people who wear a W9 and have bought XL’s. I also know people who wear a men’s size 13, and the XL also fit them fine. Some people with wider or taller feet may struggle with tightness no matter the size as the foot pocket height doesn’t change much across sizes. As for the quality, one of the black ridges that stabilizes the blade on the underside was adhered off center from the one on the top, and the adhesive is also visible around the edges of the ridges and the foot pocket. It doesn’t affect my swimming as far as I can tell, it’s just a visible flaw that is a little bothersome.

Had to get a replacement only after a few days because it accidently got left in 40 degree C heat and the glue came apart. Got a replacement but it seems to have been made roughly. Roughly cut on side of fin and not stuck together neatly... but I'm sure it will still last me fine.

I should start by saying that I really like this product. It is easy to get on in both deep and shallow water, tight to the feet and provides a massive increase in speed. I am a fairly serious swimmer and I wanted something I could use to really generate some power in my dolphin kicks, so I didn't even consider the foil or rapid monofins since Finis market those as recreational models. After watching the various advertisements at Finisinc and on Goswim's Youtube channel I decided to go for the shooter over the trainer 1 and trainer 2 since i got the impression that this model can be more easily incorporated into other strokes. I have swam with the monofin 4 times now, and have used it exclusively for underwater dolphin, butterfly stroke, breaststroke and freestyle with dolphin kicks and dolphin on my back for backstroke. Generally, I swim a drill, put the monofin on and swim the drill again, then take it off and swim it one last time. The shooter monofin provides more speed, and forces you to control the stroke, whilst also working your core really hard. The only drawback I would say is that you really have to be in a quiet lane to swim with the fin on, since it is sharp and because you'll be going much faster than everyone else.

Monopalme permettant de travailler tout le corps , excellent pour travailler le papillon. Par contre l'achat de chaussettes est fortement conseillé si vous faites des séances d'une heure, sinon vous aurez des ampoules aux orteils.

A great fin, swims super fast. I bought it for my Finfolk mermaid tail and it works great in this tail as well as without.
