This is the only pen I use, and the only pen I buy as gifts. Most other reviews cover almost all the positives, there is one feature this pen has that not only don't other people mention, but isn't in the description or advertisement by Cross here on Amazon. Namely, that the pocket clip is spring/hinged loaded, and by pushing on the top part of the clip, the bottom opens up almost like an alligator clip. This means that it's beyond easy to secure it in a pocket, organizer, or like I do, in between the buttons of my button down shirt. I've left this pen at home by accident from time to time, and have used another Cross pen that day (one that doesn't have this clip), or other "nice" pens, and it's then that I realized how much I just have to have that hinged pocket clip. It's a game changer, ESPECIALLY if you're someone who uses his pen a lot at intervals throughout the day, and find yourself putting it away for a few minutes before needing it again I can't believe more high end pens don't do this, or that Cross hasn't incorporated this into other pens in their line. As far as the pen itself, it's been covered pretty well by others. It writes great, it is customizable with ink and tip, and it looks fantastic. Pro tip though. If you get this pen and hand it to someone else to use while it's closed, I guarantee that person will twist the hell out of it trying to open it not realizing it's a pull open pen. The pen has held up under multiple people doing this, including a few times they really tried cranking on it, but continuous "abuse" like this will loosen up the open mechanism a bit, making it a little shaky and not as solid. Side note....this pen is on the medium/large size, which is perfect for me as I have big hands and long fingers, but I could see this being a bit large to hold comfortably for those with smaller hands. All in all, this is the best pen I've ever used

Great pen love the way it writes and love how it pushes down to a more compact size for my shirt pocket then just pops out when needed. I really like the gel rollerball I think i will start getting the gel pens now they just write better

Interesting design that prevents the cap of the pen from being lost. The cap in this case slides up, exposing the ink tip. Sliding it back down retracts the tip. Disappointed that it's not a metal pen, it's plastic, which feels cheap. A nice pen, writes well, I'm not sure I'd buy it again.

I am picky about pens, but I like everything about this pen: the look, the weight and size; how it writes. I like it so much I am giving two as gifts. It looks good, feels good in my hand, and, of course, it writes well, too. There are several color choices, and it will make a great gift for a man or a woman.

Der Cross Edge Rollerball ist ein wirklich schönes Schreibgerät, das durch seine dickere Form besser in der Hand liegt als die meisten anderen Stifte. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der innovative Ausfahrmechanismus: Man zieht an der oberen Hälfte des Stiftes, damit die Mine herauskommt, und drückt sie wieder zurück, um sie einzufahren. Dieses ungewöhnliche System ist nicht nur praktisch, sondern macht auch Spaß. Die Tinte ist dokumentenecht, und durch die Gelmine ist das Schreiben mit weniger Druck leichter und angenehmer. Die Qualität überzeugt auf ganzer Linie, und es macht Spaß, ihn zu benutzen. Ich habe mittlerweile fünf dieser Stifte gekauft, und alle Familienmitglieder, die einen bekommen haben, nutzen sie sehr gerne. Einziger Wermutstropfen: Blaue und schwarze Minen sind problemlos erhältlich, aber die angeblich verfügbaren roten und lila Minen sind leider nirgends lieferbar. Fazit: Dieser Stift ist definitiv die volle Punktzahl wert. Er ist nicht nur ein Hingucker, sondern auch ein sehr funktionales und hochwertiges Schreibgerät, das ich uneingeschränkt empfehlen kann.
