With all that protection, it arrived in perfect condition. I shouldn't have worried.One thing I noticed early was the air holes in the back of the unit, to allow some air circulation, which isn't pictured above. I've read from a few top chefs online that bread needs air and should not be kept in an air-tight container. I accepted their word, which is why I chose this style of bread bin.The bin is very light, roomy, clean and attractive and arrived in perfect working order. I'll update again when I have had time to determine if my bread lasts longer than without it, but so far, I'm happy with purchase and happy to recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stylish *by K***R on 12 January 2025* Love this bread bin, looks very stylish on my work top. Nice shiny black finish, opens smoothly. A bit more compact than I expected compared to my old (brabantia) one, but its also a little higher and fits in the same amount if bread easily. I like the way the lid opens over the housing rather than sliding underneath, less risk of being scratched or damaged which is what happened with the brabantia one.
