Which direction do I wrap the strap around the bar, and does it matter?

Always wrap under the bar first, then around and over. Never over the top first. The bar's weight tightens the strap as you pull. Wrapping over the top does the opposite and you lose grip when the load is heaviest.

Can I use these straps for powerlifting competition or strongman events?

Not for sanctioned powerlifting competitions. USAPL and IPF prohibit grip assistance on competition lifts. For training use only. Strongman rules vary by event and organization. Check your federation rules before competing.

Will these fit my wrists? I have smaller hands and I am not sure they are designed for me.

Fully adjustable for any wrist size. Thread the tail through the small loop to create the wrist loop, slip your wrist through, then tighten before wrapping the bar. The small opening is a threading mechanism, not the wrist hole.

Is the neoprene padding latex-free, and can I machine wash these?

Yes to both. The neoprene padding is non-latex. The cotton strap is machine washable. Cold water, gentle cycle, air dry only. Do not put in the dryer as heat degrades neoprene over time.

What exercises are these lifting straps not suitable for?
