Great Plug, Looks Sweet! - it's a shame I'm the only one who will ever see it
Works great. Installs with a satisfying thunk into the detent. Looking forward to the next oil change when the mess will be less.

Awesome solution for a silly problem
The factory drain plug for the 2.7L Bronco engine is considered to be a one time use item, this seems silly to me. Combine that with the fact that when you remove this 3/4 turn one time use drain plug, you had better be ready because all 6.2 qts of oil are coming out within a few seconds whether you have your drain pan positioned correctly or not. The Ronin permanent drain plug solves the issue of a messy oil change and the combined cost of a $13 drain plug with each oil change. The plug is VERY well made, fits perfectly and takes just a few seconds to install during your next oil change. The added bonus is that the insert that allows you to control oil flow out of the pan, also has a connection on the end that allows you to connect a piece of hose and direct the oil flow wherever you like instead of your sway bar, the cross member, your garage floor or all over your hand like the factory plug tends to do. If you're like me and regardless of the smart oil life monitor's suggested 7500-10,000 mile oil change intervals, you change your oil every 5,000 miles, you'll cover the cost of this plug in a few oil changes and avoid the mess and hassle of the factory plug. Because I'm also used to a traditional oil plug, I have been crawling under my Bronco expecting so see a drip or seep from the plug, but it hasn't let me down. Since installing this, I have had a co-worker buy one for his Edge ST and his F-150. I'll be adding this plug to our other Bronco at the next oil change as well because it's just that good. If you're on the fence and thinking about spending the money for this add, trust me, it's worth it.

Superior upgrade to the f150 drain plug.
Absolutely the best way to drain your oil! No Mess whatsoever! Perfect fit for my 2020 f150. I combined a piece of 1/2 inch I.d. Hose with the drain tool and couldn’t ask for a better solution for draining the oil. If you’re on the fence about buying this, no worries, buy it! You won’t be disappointed! It is far more superior to fords factory drain plug. No mess!

...
Installed on a 2019 Ford F150 5.0L today. Just did my first oil change. I read all the complaints online about how messy the OEM oil plug can be and they're not wrong. As soon as I loosened the plug enough with a pair of needle nose pliers, oil went spraying everywhere even though I had carefully positioned my catch pan to avoid any issues. The problem is two fold - the oil gushes out with great speed, and the swaybar is right there in front of the opening so it fans the rushing oil everywhere. It's a poor design. This was a bit pricy but it appears to be high quality aluminum and steel. It was easy to install. The rim right behind the gold cap - the part you grip to install it - has a notch right behind the gold cap at the 12 o'clock position. Aim this at about the 7 o'clock position on the oil pan mouth, push in with some force, and then rotate it while pushing in a bit until the notch I mentioned is at 12 o'clock on the mouth. By this point, it should feel secure. It will very slightly move left to right if you move it around, but it's in there securely just like a regular plug. My 2017 VW GTI had the same plastic plug design with a detent that locks it into place. I know a lot of old school guys prefer a metal pan and plug but honestly I like the plastic a lot more. It's foolproof. FYI, the Ronin symbol (sort of looks like a Transformers logo) is also supposed to be correctly aligned. The two points at the top of the "head" of the symbol should be pointing straight up. I had previously loosened the gold cap and didn't properly retighten it, so the symbol didn't line up at first and I thought I didn't install it correctly, but the notch was properly oriented. Also, on the bottom of the drain is text which should be positioned at 6 o'clock once installed, and I verified that as well. I will update after my next oil change since I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I'll also update if there are any leaks or issues. I have high hopes for this tool, as the factory plug sucks. $80 is worth saving yourself the aggravation as well and you won't have to buy any more replacement plugs. Update - I finally got to change my oil. The difference is night and day. First of all, a reminder to keep the drain tool somewhere safe. It's small and easy to lose. I initially kept it in my glove box as recommended but was afraid it would get lost so I put it in the garage near my oil filter wrench and still couldn't find it at first. The tool helps control the flow of oil and makes the drain so much cleaner. The spurt of oil will still hit the sway bar but you can limit that by turning down the flow a bit. Not having to buy a new plug each time is a nice plus. I'm so glad I bought this, having changed the oil both ways. Worth every penny.

Perfect
The install was very easy on the first oil change, and I just did the next oil change using the threaded insert and a piece of tubing. On the Ranger, that was so much cleaner, it was absolutely worth the cost. It does drain significantly slower, but that really doesn't matter to me. There were no signs of leaking anywhere.

3 piece oil plug
Overall a good quality drain plug. Fits a 15 f150 with plastic oil bathtub well. Seems to have fixed the leaking from that area. The only complaint I have is the other drain plug you screw into it drains pretty slow, but it does have a hose nipple if you wanted to stay clean.

Does Exactly What It Says It Does.
This is one of the few products that actually does exactly what they say it does. It is easy to install. It creates a perfect fit and seal. It doesn’t leak any oil and is durable. It’s super easy to use and it saves a lot of time. I highly recommend this product to anyone that does their own oil changes.

Better than OEM
Makes oil changes easier and faster. Retains some oil but removing the entire plug releases the remains. Would 100% recommend.

Much nicer draining the oil and not getting it splashed on the sway bar. Only complaint is it didn't come with a hose and also the oil drains a bit slower.

Nicely made and engineered. Makes oil changes a breeze. No mess.

Very easy to install, snaps in just the instruction video said. Will definitely lessen the spillage when next oil change done. But also will have to elevate truck higher to drain like I want
