Impact Background Support System - 12' Wide

I used it for a special project to capture images of many hand made quilts on location. Using backdrop clamps I was able to mount the quilts fairly straight & stretch out most of the wrinkles. I only needed to use 3 sections. I would guess with all 4 sections this would not hold a lot of weight. This collapses down to a compact package with its own carry bag. The bag has a little pouch to hold misc. items like my clamps. In the carry bag it fits crosswise in the back of my '17 Escape.

I normally use manfrotto light stands exclusively, but I bought this for use in a photobooth. In terms of build quality, durability, compact ability, the manfrotto is better but this is a good product the price. The carrying case was a very nice surprise. It keeps everything organized nicely and is easy to carry. If you can’t afford, or like me, don’t want to pay for a more expensive stand I would definitely consider this

I've used this for a "photo booth" backdrop for weddings. Very easy to setup and work with. Seems fairly sturdy. If you extend it fully you will need sand bags or it will tip over. Only problem is the base on one of the stands broke after maybe 8-10 shoots. One of the pop rivets snapped off. Comes with a 1 yr warranty but after talking with the manufacturer you need to send the whole unit back and it could take 3-6 weeks to get it replaced or repaired. That's too long. I'll either try and fix it myself or buy a replacement stand.

Would've loved for it to be air cushioned, but I knew that it wasn't before buying. It's sturdy enough to hold up a thick vinyl background, the stands have wide base. As always, I recommend using a sandbag on each one to prevent it from falling, but no matter what brand of support system, that's what you should do. I would've liked the stems on top of the stands to have some sort of a lock for the cross-bar.....not a deal breaker.

Works... but there is nothing holding the top piece down, no tension = bending.

Not super durable, but gets the job done

Super easy to setup, sturdy enough for large 12'x8' backdrops. Comes with a canvas case (that rips easily), but protects it none the less. We've also used this with paper seamless backdrops, and it's held just fine. Ended up buying 5 of them to do red carpet styled turn and shoot backdrops.
