The Pro-Ject Audio Phono Box S is a great value product. It makes the sound stage of your records warm, and you can hear more detail in the music of your records. This purchase just continues to push me forward to my goal of having the ultimate sound system.

Just as described and works perfectly.

Now I have to listen to everything again! Amazing difference the first night. Great build quality . really crisps up the mids and highs and rounds out the lows real nice overall quieter (more detailed) . The built in subsonic filter is a great touch . plus it was delivered in one day on a Sunday thanks prime . There are more expensive preamps out there but for the money I don't know that anyone who is just getting into the more"high quality" audio equipment arena could do better for the money .

I bought my second unit (#2 is a Christmas gift) and find it to be a very well made and great sounding phono pre-amp.

I bought this phono amp because of its reasonable price, and the fact that you can tune it to different types of cartridges and adjust the gain. It also has a subsonic filter, which I use just in case. Sounds fine to me (I've changed too many items in my system at once to give a true review). It seems to be pretty well-reviewed around the web. I'm still considering a Jolida JD-9, but that's 3x the money of this little unit. I doubt it's 3x the performance.FWIW, I like that it has a power button, but I just leave it on all the time.

Habe in den letzten 7 Monaten insgesamt 8 Phonovorverstärker getestet,Preisklasse von 35,- 700,-€.Darunter waren auch die die am meisten gelobt werden.Es waren genau zwei dabei die meinen Erwartungen entsprachen.Einer davon ist diese Pro-Ject Phonobox S.Klang und die Anpassungsmöglichkeiten haben mich dann zu dieser Wahl veranlasst.Ein Weiterer war Klanglich zwar eine andere Hausnummer, aber nicht Anpassbar und kostet fasst das dreifache.Letztendlich eine volle Empfehlung für alle die öfter verschiedene Systeme einsetzenund auf guten Natürlichen und Unverfälschten Klang nicht verzichten wollen.

Ich habe nie aufgehört "Analog" zu hören. Den (eigentlich) sinnlos hohen Aufwand, den es braucht, um in den High-End-Himmel zu schweben, habe ich immer genossen. Mein alter Technics-Vollverstärker hatte alles an Bord, selbstverständlich auch einen ordentlichen MM-Eingang, Klang immer ganz gut. Dann aber habe ich meinen Tonabnehmer und Kopfhörer "upgegraded" - von da an fand ich die Zischlaute sehr überbetont, fast schon stressig. Da gibt es viele Möglichkeiten zur Optimierung, die ich letzlich auf die unpassende Kapazität und hohe Ausgangsspannung des TA eingegrenzt habe. Also Kabel gewechselt (teure, kurze Oehlbachs), auch die Tonarm-Tonabnehmer-Käbelchen getauscht. Hat beides viel Räumlichkeit gebracht, aber trotzdem blieben die Zischlaute zu hart. Damit war klar: Ein Phono-Pre mit Kapazitätsanpassung muss her. Die Pro-Ject Phono Box S hat reichlich Einstellmöglichkeiten via Dip-Schalter-Leisten. Und siehe da: Dieses Teil ist göttlich! Die Anpassung auf meine verschiedenen Tonabnehmer geht nun superleicht und der Klang ist unfassbar geschmeidig und zugleich druckvoll geworden. Das gilt jetzt für alle meine Tonabnehmer, die sehr unterschiedliche Klangeigenschaften haben. Kurzum: Eine klare Kaufempfehlung!P.S.: Wer hier über Rauschen schimpft, hat keine Ahnung und wohl die Erdung dieses Wunderkistchens vergessen!

Ottima fattura e grande impressione di robustezza. Per il funzionamento sembra perfetto. Mi aspetto un notevole miglioramento nel momento in cui andro a cambiare anche la testina.

Un piccolo - grande pre che nel mio impiantino suona da Dio, abbinato ad un giradischi Sansui del 1981. Davvero una resa sorprendente
