I have IBS and non-celiac gluten sensitivity, which involves a lot of unpleasant symptoms. Not going for 3-5 days typically. Never feel like I have a complete bowel movement. Stool that is soft but is so sticky from the gluten that it’s difficult to get out and gets stuck to the bowl. Just go gluten free right? Well I have no self control so I’m dumb and just keep going back and forth between being gluten free and eating gluten. These probiotics make me go more regularly. And my stools are actually formed and not how they were before. After I go it feels l have a complete movement. I don’t have to clean my toilet bowl every time I go number 2. I finally feel normal again.

These are a bit harsh on the stomach, but halving the capsule will remove bloating and stomach discomfort.

There is no particular reason that you should choose something to put in your body on the recommendation of someone's review on Amazon, so I am going to direct you to a peer-reviewed journal article by Azuma et al., (2023) titled Effect of continuous ingestion of bifidobacteria and dietary fiber on improvement in cognitive function: A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. Since I don't actually expect you to look up this article and read it, I will just offer a few words about it. Gut bacteria has been shown to have an impact on cognition, among other positive effects on health generally. This article specifically tested Bifidobacterium animalis lactis, which is the probiotic in this very product. This trial showed improvement in cognition after 12 weeks of taking the bifidobacteria vs. placebo. Specifically, the researchers found that there were positive (and statistically significant) changes in: complex attention, cognitive flexibility, and executive function (e.g., sustained attention, processing speed). So that's the science. Here is the testimonial. I am approaching 70 years of age, and I earned a PhD in Psychology at the tender age of 58. I teach full time at a community college and typically have between 5 and 7 classes each semester and around 300 students per year. It's a lot. Since I started taking this probiotic, along with Inulin (as also tested in the article) I have noticed some additional clarity of thought and improved memory. It's not a 'holy cow this is amazing' sort of improvement, but I have noticed an improvement. I recommend this product.

I do not know what is wrong with these, if I just got a bad bottle? I have similar GI Probiotic blends with almost the same probiotics in them. But this supplement caused rather severe bloating, distention, gas, and indigestion, while the other similar supplements did not. I had a better reaction from PB8 Probiotic blend which supports digestion, and from BIOHM immunity probiotic which actualy soothed digestive upsets, and had a soothing, calming effect on my nerves. I will most likely not buy these again, and might call customer support to see if anything can be done; as around $17.00 is a high price to pay for gas, bloating, and rather severe distention from this product. Maybe one bad bottle, or I am jus tnot used to them, but then I can use the other probiotics that do not cause this distress. Very sorry.

These were a replacement for a brand I had used for over 20 years that went out of production. No problems with them that I can tell, and I’m very sensitive to many supplements.
