Helpful Support Option for Pets with Kidney Concerns
My dog has kidney-related health issues, and I started this supplement as part of their care plan. I give it around the same time daily. Pros: • Gentle and easy to give • Supports digestive and kidney health balance • Trusted veterinary supplement Cons: • Needs to be refrigerated for best potency • Results are gradual and part of long-term care Overall: A solid supplement option when recommended by a vet. It’s meant to support, not replace, professional treatment but worth keeping in the routine.

This stuff has been keeping my 17yo dog alive and out ER
This stuff and Dr Harvey canine health mix with “ My Perfect Pet Low Phosphorus” if you can find it locally has been keeping my 17yo dog alive. I transitioned her off dry food to this. I know it says not to open it but I sprinkle it on cucumbers and watermelon she eats it right up. The more moisture food for kidney the better! Her levels are normal now and she doesn’t need iv fluids 3x week anymore also because they can be risk more for uti I give her coco & Luna uti chew. I’m blessed found this medicine

Good probiotic
The product itself seems fine. The pills are small, easy to give to my dog, and don’t have a noticeable smell or taste. Unfortunately, it was shipped with an ice pack that had melted by the time it arrived, and the bottle was warm. The label says it is shelf stable for up to 14 days at room temperature, but I need it to last longer since this is a 45‑day supply. Because it’s listed as non‑returnable for food safety reasons, I’m disappointed that I can’t use the full supply.

Don't give up hope, Azodyl saved our cat's life!
We moved to Nicaragua and brought our 3 cats. They are 11 years old and are our children. Probably not natural but we love these girls so much. Well, 2 months ago our alpha cat became very lethargic and just "not herself" we had the vet come out and we had blood and urine tests done. Her BUN (nitrogen urea) was 109, her creatine was elevated to 8.8. She was in the final stage of kidney failure. These numbers are a death sentence to cats in Nicaragua. We got second, third and forth opinions and all but one vet said "put her down". I read and researched and read some more...I ordered several items and had a friend that was back in the States bring us what items I orderd. It was a week of hell waiting to get this medication. It was not the fault of shipping. The shipping was fast. It was waiting for our friends to return. We started the Azodyl pills the night we got them from the airport. We also started Epakitin and NHV tripsy drops. The week prior to recieving these items from the US we had her on fomotadine, sodium bicarb and zofran.that was the only treatment we could get for her in Nicaragua. We did give her 10cc of water every hour, orally, via a syringe, we supplamented with pedialyte every three hours. After two weeks on the Azodyl and other items listed above her BUN was down to 33 and her creatinine was 3.8. We will have her blood tested again in two weeks. She is back to chasing butterflies and being happy. Her eyes are bright again. She is eating again and is full of life. She had lost about 1/2 of her body weight. We now are concentrating on her diet and getting some weight back on her. I am positive that Azodyl saved her life. We have resigned ourselves that she will be on medication for the rest of her life. That is a small price to pay to know that kidney failure is not going to take her anytime soon. The vets here have never seen a turn around like She had. Of course we still have to have people bring it in from the US. Again...small price to pay for our baby. If you are reading this and your cat has CKD, try this. I also reccomend the other two products I mentioned. Good luck!

Good supplement for cats with kidney disease
I use this for my cat that has kidney disease. It was recommended by one our vets. I use this in conjunction with IV fluids 3x/week and kidney canned & kibble cat food. I just put this down my cats throat twice a day with some of her other medicine & supplements. It’s small enough she takes it easily.

Helping keep our cat alive but WAY too large
The good news is that along with other food additives (aluminum hydroxide and a small amount of B vitamin complex) - along with lactated ringer's fluids - this probiotic is helping keep our cat alive and in surprisingly good stead considering her kidney issue. [As an aside to cat owners who need this product - Normosol was making our cat vomit, which dehydrated her even more, the opposite effect desired - get lactated ringer's solution instead!) On the downside no one seems to be able to figure out how or why animals this small are expected to swallow a capsule this large. Apparently it's important to get the biotic past the stomach alive, hence the capsule which is expected to survive the stomach and release in the intestines. But most animals - especially cats, who commonly develop kidney issues in old age - can't be expected to get something this size down their little throats. Like most cat owners we're opening the capsule and putting the contents in a small amount of very tasty (and less healthy) food as a "pre-dinner" before a healthier normal meal lower in proteins which raise harmful blood values. Supposedly the industry is "researching" how to make smaller capsules, which is mindboggling for me as a layman. We can't make two or three smaller ones and make the dosage two or three capsules..? We can't cut down on the filler..? Or some combination of the two? How hard is this..? On the whole though it's amazing to see how sick our cat was and how by sticking to the fluids and additives (including Azodyl) schedule how well she is living now. Don't put your pet down before trying this therapy!

This was delivered and when I went to open the pack I found it was not refrigerated. Tracking info showed it left the warehouse 48 hours prior to delivery...normally this is VERY quick and quite acceptable, but with probiotic that needs to be refrigerated, it didn't work out. I circled the "keep refrigerated" sticker and I am quite sure it won't be re-sold to anyone else. Seller Golda's Kitchen was hassle-free with the return, just required a trip to the post office for drop-off. I wanted to give this a go, but I won't give it to my animal knowing it is potentially spoiled/not effective.
