Depp Fedora Hat

Unfortunately for me, the fit is spot on and the band is non-stretch (as it really should be). I wear a size 8 1/4, so I had to stretch it some, even though I bought the largest size. But by warming up the glue under the band and using a hat stretcher, that wasn't too hard. It looks good, and is lightweight and cool -- just what I need here in Florida. The color in the picture is pretty true, at least on my monitor. The brim is small (it is a Trilby, after all), so don't buy this as a sun hat unless it's just to cover baldness or thinning. Before realizing that warming the glue would assist in stretching, I tried wetting it. It dried fine and the color didn't run, but it probably wouldn't actually be a lot of help in the rain. Haven't been caught in the rain yet to see. If it was her size, it would look as good on my lady as as it does on me.

This is an awesome head ware. I really really like the look of it. You can dress down or up with it. Super versatile. Just make sure you get your head measurement right. The fit leans more toward the larger size and looser fitting.

looked and fit great i bought the L/XL for a 7 1/2 or 23.5" head. The hat came packaged appropriately and in solid condition as well.

The quality and look of the hat is very good, especially considering the price. The color is a brighter blue than in the picture, but close enough that I'm still very happy with it, as it still matches the shoes that I was matching it with. It's well made and even has a cloth liner, that you typically won't find in other paper straw hats at this price point. I really like this kind of hat because they're very light and breathe well, and in this case the hat is perfect. It arrived in a box that was easily big enough to avoid damage (prime) , however it was pushed in on the front and the left side pre-packaging, so after popping out the dents, it left some slight creases in those places, which is common when a paper-straw hat gets crushed, which was a little disappointing, and the reason for the four stars. The brim was also out of shape, but it has wire running through the outside lip, making that easy to get back into shape. Overall, very happy, and an excellent purchase.

I ordered this hat in a large, selected Large as the option. The hat came as a L/XL which was way too big! I placed a return request to get a replacement since I assumed they sent the wrong hat, but even my order confirmation suddenly said L/XL. Maybe I made a mistake? I wanted to order a Medium size. Checked their site for ones available in Medium, selected medium and before I placed my order, I see that the item says sm/med. So you could be ordering the correct size you think you need and it is not a real size available. These hats only seem to be in SM/ Med or Large/XL It's a shame because the hat is really nice.

I have other Peter Grimm hats. I found Amazon had a good price on the Depp fedora and a timely delivery date. The weave is a tight natural material and it retains the natural color. I am a 71/4 hat size and the Small/Medium was a perfect fit. It may be classified as lightweight but the tight weave results in a heavyweight feel. The tight weave also gives me the ability to leave the brim in the round style or snap it down for a more fedora style. When I received the hat it was smooched down in the crown area but I was able to easily shape it to the proper configuration. I wore it the first time yesterday on a hot day, all day. No problems... all day comfort. Plus I got compliments on my looks with the hat. Thanks Amazon and Peter Grimm. Yay!

The hat is decent, but even with all of the packaging it came a little misshapen. I think I can get the straightened out. The real issue I have is tgat I ordered a Large and they sent a L/XL. That might not seem like it would be an issue, but I wear a 7-3/8 and this is too big.

My husband needed a brown hat for a certain event and this one was perfect. It’s not a basic brown hat, the color accents really help set off his look. He said it fit just right and liked how it looked on him.

As always Peter Grimm makes amazing high quality hats. Nothing but the best. I wish it was a tad smaller like my other hat from Peter Grimm. With a few cork strips it should be fine. On that note,time to go out in style. 😎 Update, the hat is starting to break down for some reason. I've asked the buyer but haven't received a reason why.

Sizing is abit too big.

I have a few upturn brim Trilby Fedoras. The straw version is cooler and my golfing hat for the summer. My old one is bent a little out of shape resulting from storage on my rear back seat window. This is a replacement. Shockingly heads above quality wise. The only minor dislike? The crown is about an inch higher than my other ones. Which gives it a slightly different look. But might actually be better ventilation wise for the golf course.

Awesome hat. Well made and sturdy. Great customer service.
