I'm not entirely sure how psychoactive it is, but I feel less sluggish and mildly depressed when I include this in my daily routine.Sometimes if I'm having a rough time I'll double up in the morning but it's better with breakfast and lunch. The only other ingredient listed on the box is "dextrose." **Q: Is this red ginseng?** A: There is no indication on the box or on the packets that it's red ginseng. It is simply described as "Korean Ginseng." I would assume that if it were "red" they'd note that specifically. So my answer is a qualified "no." **Q: Is this tea instant??** A: It is instant and completely dissolves.
