SLIK SBH-280E Professional Ballhead with Quick Release, Black (618-193)

I've had this ball head camera mount for over two years. I originally bought it with a Slik carbon fiber tripod. I have no complaints and really like the action, the built-in levels and the thin camera mount.I recently purchased another for my monopod since I do tend to switch back and forth on occasion. Honestly, you can't tell the difference between the 2+ year old and the new one.This head is relatively small and light yet performs very smoothly. I've never had any issues with creep even with my Canon D40 and a medium-long telephoto.For those that live in cooler climes; I have used this head in -10 degree weather with no issues. Couldn't be happier.

This is my favorite Ball-Head except for the older model Slik (DQ-280) that does not require a clip to unlock the arm. I use this for real-estate photography where getting the angles correct in your images is critical. What sets this Ball-Head apart from other Ball Heads on the market including much more expensive ones, is the large double-bubbles on the side of the head that help in keeping your camera leveled, perfect for those angles ! Not only that, it is pretty compact and light, but not too small where you start pinching your fingers. It does not hold a lot of weight(11 lbs), but for my real-estate camera and lens system that is plenty. I have larger and bulkier heads for my long lenses.
