This review is for the 'GPX, Inc. Portable Top-Loading CD Boombox with AM/FM Radio and 3.5mm Line In for MP3 Device - Red'. The compact size is great for traveling (if so choose). There were a few key features that the boobox lacked: 1) You cannot program radio stations. That would have been helpful for those who listen to various stations. There is a Program feature - however, it only works for the CDs (which I found quite odd). I included image of those instructions. 2) The radio tuning knob (on the top right of the radio) is very sensitive. You have to turn the knob extremely slow as it moves from station to station quite rapidly. Overall, the boombox is decent - for the price paid (less than $30).

I owned one just like this one for 6 years and it worked awesome. So when it finally crapped out, I bought this nearly identical unit to replace it. It sounds good and is easy to use, and its small size makes it very easily portable. Sadly though, after only several uses, the CD player has stopped working. It won't read any CDs I put in it anymore. Tried cleaning the lens like I regularly do on all my similar devices. No help. So unfortunately, only the radio works and I really don't care about that cuz what I really wanted it for was to play my extensive CD collection outside when I'm working outside. What a shame. I don't know what changed from my awesome one that worked for 6 years to this new one that crapped out after so few uses, but they definitely didn't repeat their previous achievement. Now I'm stuck having to buy another different one so I can play my CDs. I don't recommend this unless you really don't care about the CD player not working.

Runs okay but it's not well made. The disk seat is a wobbly platen without any support or enclosure so it's hard to get the disk on right. The lid doesn't open all the way so it can only be inserted at a certain angle. We got this for an elderly person with vision issues and all of these are deal breakers. Also there are some weird control choices that make hitting the wrong button a challenge for our parent so eh. Fine for people without challenges but needs to be fussed with.

Gave it to my brother as a Christmas present. He loves it.

Very Impressed with Quality of Boombox and Sound Quality! Easy to use and set up for first use. Easy to use. As mentioned by others, the Volume and Radio tuning knobs are very sensitive but it is easy to get used to. I am also very impressed with the sound quality of this unit. Much better than I expected. For the money, this boombox Rocks!

I came across many negative reviews regarding the power and voltage. This is simply because people were being ignorant of the fact that this product comes from US and needs a step down converter to get it going in India. The seller contacted me twice on two different days to make sure that I was aware of it. Please please please don’t plug in this music system without a step down converter. It has 120V and hence you would need something which can withstand 150V and above capacity for a smoother performance. Mine works perfectly without any sort of disruption. Thank you for your fast delivery and at most care in letting me know and reminding me to buy a step down converter. Will be happy to shop with you again.

Unable to shut the product battery storage space because plug wire did not have a separate space for storage. Requested return and it was collected from home on May 7. I have not received refund till date. Unacceptable wait time.
