Good for 1 gallon jugs
Works as it should. I wish it would have been longer to fit a 5 gallon jug.

Perfect for what I needed!! Wine!!!!
Works good but if ur making brandy or wine get u a brewers bag and tape it in there cuz it will clog up!!! Other than that works great

Super-duper awesome back-saver
I bought this a few years ago to help someone make wine, but we never did. Fast-forward to this year. I was thinking about my water purification system and how hard it is to pour the water from a 5-gallon jug into 1-gallon jugs… I remembered this, and now I have a nice system that I set up with a 5-gallon water jug. I’ll let the water filter into my jug that’s placed in the sink, and I’ll walk away as it fills my big jug. Over time, I can go take hold of the siphon tube and bring it down low to fill up gallon after gallon. When the gallon is almost full, I can switch over to a new gallon jug or stand up with the gallon that’s filling, and the siphon slows and stops. I just set the siphon tube back into the top of the big jug when I’m not using it. When I need it again, I won’t even need to pump the siphon to get it going again. It just flows because of gravity. It’s soooooo much easier than heaving a 5-gallon jug around and trying to pour the water into my small jugs with a funnel, which I did for a year. The only recommendation I have is to stop filling the jugs before the siphon runs out of water and is filled with air because the big jug will need to be almost full again to get it going again, if you accidentally do that. Is it worth the money? You betcha!!! It saves me a lot of effort and work. I think I was hurting my back from repeatedly lifting that big jug and holding for so long. One thing that would be cool to have on here is a little valve to turn the flow on/off. That would make it suuuuuper amazing.

Decent Siphon, Hard to Clean
I am not so sure that there is a fool proof way of cleaning or using this siphon. I found it to be convenient and great to use. I like the product overall. A few things could change and I would like it better. I find myself having to pinch the tubing when filling my bottles. It would be excellent and better functioning if there was a built-in handle to clamp off the tubing when siphoning. I am not sure what the ideal way of cleaning this is. I hope that it did not get mold in it! While rinsing it with water is not hard, I found it near impossible to dry. The size and value for money are okay. I plan to use mine again if possible. I do not know if I can speak to the durability of the product. Time will tell. It is 5/5 if it were not difficult to clamp and clean.

Excellent product for small batch home brew
I’m making my first batch of home brew fruit wine. This auto-siphon is awesome. It works exactly as advertised and is required for racking. I bought the wine thief as well (for sampling and hydrometer testing) and it’s excellent and I just preemptively bought the bottler even though I’m 9-12 months from doing that because I love this company’s products. The video explainers are really useful and the products are high quality. Great stuff!

What a fine thing
Unbelievably effective. Note: A small learning curve for some - (especially when connecting the hose portion to the racking cane) which can be a tight fit. Would 100% purchase again.

Excellent
I used it for two batches and it broke. But it was user error. I will be purchasing another.

Good but better exists.
Good design, poorly made. I got into making mead/cyser and enjoyed using this product but it crack and broke after only a few batches. Putting on and taking off the bottle clamp puts too much stress on the tube and it will split lengthwise. Works good, but in my experience, it won't last long. Also the bottom tip is great for avoiding sediment but it fell off constantly. There is an all in one hose version available. That's been more durable.

El producto llegó bien y es idento a la descripción. Excelente calidad. Aún no lo utilizo pero el sistema se ve bien, no creo tener problemas.

Siphoned successfully w just a tube on Monday, was only using sanitizer, but it worked fine. So I started on the dandelion wine -- yikes! Lovely, lovely wine, all over my shoes! Quick ordered this mini auto-siphon and some other stuff from Fermtech and hurray, it arrived ystrdy. I sanitized everything, bottled 1 gal dandelion wine (3yr old and pure gold), and racked 1 gal each this yrs rhubarb, strawberry and dandelion. Easy, easy to clean, too, I just pumped some sanitizer sol'n through the apparatus, rinsed, and went on to the next. I wish I had gotten this sooner, I would have made more wine! : ) My only problem is that the bungs that came with the fermentation locks which I also ordered were too big for my carboys... I will have to figure out what size they are, meanwhile I have some corks from before. But my wine's all racked and I've started new batches! These people are the real deal, and Canadian as well.
