Fisher-Price Octonauts Gup A Deluxe Vehicle Playset

My daughter loves Octonauts so had to get this for her. All and all a solid toy with a few accessories like a net, arm, fish, crab, and a captain barnacle figure. The sub is neat, built well, and has room to spare for her extra figures inside the cockpit and the cargo area. The front windshield stays on well but pops off if bent too far, which is a nice touch instead of it breaking at the hinge. You can wind the toy up by the prop for use on the floor with the wheel/paddle combo underneath or in the bathtub but honestly that feature doesn't work too well in either instance. It also seems to dry out fairly quickly when wet in the tub so that's a bonus for it.

My kids have been really into Octonauts lately, so I had to get them the Gup A! I am pleased with the size and quality of the toy. My kids love it! The front window does come off easily, which is annoying, but they don't care if the window is missing. They like opening up the back and putting all their Octonauts figures inside. Great Toy!

The product is very sturdy and right up there with the standards of their other products. The moving function doesn't work so well in water, but my children prefer to play with it outside the bath, as they can have more time to play during the day. The grabber and front screen often come off, but my 4 year old doesn't seem to care. The main thing is durability for us, and it definitely has that. The figure is also really hardwearing and a great size. I'm generally happy with this purchase.

Now everyone knows if they have a child who is obsessed with Octonauts, the toys are very hard to come by and usually the price is insane. After a lot of searching I found of amazon is probably the best place to buy anything related to the show. The package came a whole month before the date it said (still actually saying it will be here on sept 15) besides that the toy was perfect. Now i cant order anything else for myself unless an Octonaut toy is on its way, only because the pure excitement he gets from just watching the show makes spending a bunch of money on these toys. There is something to be said for any toy that encourages active, imaginative play. The Octonauts provides a fantastic backdrop to many exciting adventures - especially in concert with other play sets including the Octopod and now, the Paw Patrol lookout. We have had hours of playtime rescuing every Lego Minifig in the house from a variety of precarious predicaments. The submarine itself is a lot bigger than i expected it to be. It is the scale of a small football but is manageable for my 4 year old to play with. It is well built (except for the window, which I address later) and should hold up to a fair amount of abuse. This is a great toy for the bath or on dry land. The propeller winds up and spins and there is a wheel underneath that is supposed to propels it forward as it spins. Unfortunately, it is not that powerful and only really works on the hardwood floor. Thankfully, both in the tub and the playroom, this is not a big issue. What is a bigger problem is that the window does pop off from time to time. What started off as a minor inconvenience is now becoming more of an annoyance as we have to repeatedly snap it back in. I finally fixed the issue with a spot of crazy glue, but docked a star for the poor fit.

My son's favorite show is the Octonauts on the Disney channel. Of course for some reason the US has not figured out they could make a lot of money selling these toys, so the only place you can find these cute little figures is overseas. I've bought most of this set from this seller (Toy Crazes) and I have to say I am very impressed with the turn around time. Even though shipping estimates were 1 month or more - I recieved most of them within a week. Some even faster than things I ordered in the US! The price is expensive, but given that the only place you can buy these products is from the UK, I understand. I saw that the price changed a bit on this (as most do on amazon) and watched this product to see if I could get it for the cheapest I could. Toy Crazes is a great company to offer free shipping to us in the US so we can get these anxiously awaited toys. Thank you! This Gup-A is huge. It holds many Octonauts and hurt animals. We haven't used this in the tub, but it works great on the floor. My son (3 years old) does need some help twisting it to get it to move on it's own, but doesn't always need to twist it. He just pushes the Gup along by itself as he is playing with his figures. We love this with the rest of our Octonauts. Update - Now that the U.S carries the toys this toy is easier to find - you can find them every where now. We still love it and it still gets played with 3 years later! Definitely worth the extra money I paid back before they were available in the US.

The Gup A was our first Octonauts purchase and we are very happy with it. My 4 year old loves playing with it. I adore that in the bathtub it drains well--no leftover water sploshing around inside to get moldy! The front and back open up so there is lots of room to pretend play with Capt. Barnacles. Some of the others Gups don't have a lot of space inside the ship, so I'm happy we got this one. The little fish that comes with the set is adorable, but we never use the net and hook. The pull-back motor system hasn't worked very well for us, but that is not important to my son.

I was initially put-off the Fisher Price Octonauts toys by their appearance in the photos and, to an extent, how they appear on the shelf. However, I saw a few of these toys out-of-the-box at a children's party and I started to change my mind - that along with my three year old daughter, M, being Octonauts crazy! Basically, these feel more substantial and well thought out in-the-hand than the photos do justice. They are made from good quality materials, feel robust, and there are neat little touches such as the permanently printed-on decals that make the Gup-A and it's sister subs suitable for bath time play. The Gup-A is my, and M's, favourite. Of all the Fisher Price Octonauts toys, this one most closely captures the look and spirit of the on-screen version - it has space for two Octonauts in the cockpit and another two in the cozy lab quarters at the back. Wind the propeller up and it also chugs along in the water, or do the same on dry land and the propeller steadily churns away at pleasingly similar speed to the on screen version. Of all the Fisher Price Gups, it would seem this is the one that the company put the most effort into getting 'right', and they succeeded.

Mein Sohn ( 3 Jahre) liebt die Oktonauten. Wenn er was im TV anschaut, will er ausschließlich eine aufgenommene Folge der Oktonauten sehen. Als er dann die Guppy mit Captain Barnius bekam, fand er es super. Man kann sie aufziehen und sie fährt ein kleines Stück. Eher lächerlich, aber Kindern reicht es völlig. Im Wasser ist der Antrieb auch eher unbedeutend. Die Guppy läuft relativ schnell mit Wasser voll, die Frontklappe ist auch nicht soooo stabil und trennt sich leicht ab vom Rest. Macht aber alles nix, diese Guppy wird geliebt und sehr gerne mit in die Badewanne genommen.

C est tout se que notre petite fille voulait pour son anniversaire, elle est ravie et pour sa fonction du bain c est excellent, rien à dire niveau solidité c est parfait.

fatto bene, solido, mio figlio adora il cartone animato e di conseguenza anche il giocattolo. ad oggi sta resistendo a tutte le sollecitazioni possibili ed immaginabili da parte di un bimbo di 4 anni e mezzo.

Bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it. Great that it’s also a water toy that moves by winding propeller. Loves it in her bath. Good quality
