Made a hiking stick out of a length of bamboo and the bottom measured just right for this size tip. Fit perfectly with just enough fit so that it won't come off. Got lucky on the fit but the tip works great. Update 11/2021: After weeks of heavy use during hip replacement surgery and miles on the trail the tip is in great shape and still holding up fine.
