Travelon Anti-Theft Metro Convertible Small Crossbody Bag

This purse is a must for travel! Purchased for a recent trip to Europe where I was warned about pick pockets in France and Italy. Internal has many pockets, fits passports, small RFDI wallet and also has RFDI. Strap is adjustable and cut-proof. Little lock on zipper which prevents thieves from unzipping and gaining access to your valuables and money.

I bought this over three years ago and use it almost daily at home and have used it on international trips as well. It’s the perfect size for my phone, wallet, passport, and a couple of other small items. Travels easily and has held up well on multiple trips and daily use. The locking mechanisms make me feel more confident when walking in crowded areas. Highly recommend.

I brought this bag on a three month trip across Europe, Africa, and Asia where I only brought one bag. I am so thankful I found this! The zipper that clicked onto the bag gave me such peace of mind as we walked around many crowded cities. It's easy enough to unclip and get into yourself while also being hard enough for someone to get into without you noticing. The crossbody design was perfect and I appreciated the adjustable strap that couldn't be cut. This bag looked nice enough to be worn with almost anything and in any context, while also always holding and keeping safe our important devices and documents. It was also the perfect size - able to hold a couple pair of sunglasses, a phone or two, two passports, cash and credit cards, a deck of cards, and still have a little extra space while not feeling too big or heavy. I liked keeping my phone in the back pocket - this doesn't have a zipper but it was always flush against my body so it felt secure and allowed for easy access. We kept important documents in the interior zipper pocket and that worked so well. I felt better having those on me and looking after the bag than leaving them behind wherever we were staying. My only complaint (and it's not enough to make this less than five stars) is that after a couple months of constant use the metal of front zipper started getting warped and stuck up in such a way that it would get snagged on things. Nevertheless, I cannot recommend this bag enough.

This is my second Travelon Crossbody bag. ( my other is of another style. I wanted one a little smaller for minimalist packing. I pack these for use while on excursions, shopping etc on crowded streets and markets internationally. I do not use them in airports, of flights. Got this one today for a casual short trip over seas . PROS: zippered pockets, slots inside RFID ! - fits close to body, light weight but large enough for a cell, cards, money, tissue, wet ones, passport, CONS: Wish it had a short key chain lanyard & a zipped coin pocket inside. And most of all! My biggest disappointment was there is an open pocket on the back side that is not secure or has a closure snap or velcro button . You could not put anything in this one that might accidentally sip or fall out! If I were using this in airport travel things like a pen , key, coins, comb or smal pill box would easily fall out! I will keep this but hopefully Travelon is reading these reviews! They do make a decent product! but closure on this outside pocket is needed!

Love it! Perfect size for phone and most essentials. Very well made, nice grey color, and comfortable while wearing.

I bought this bag specifically because I was travelling to Italy where many of my friends who have travelled there were pickpocketed. I am used to wearing a larger fanny pack with no security features, but decided it was best to be secure rather than bring a lot of things and have them stolen. This bag is very sturdy and yet looks fashionable. Mine is black which costs double the price of other colors but I chose black because it matches most of the neutral colors I normally wear. It has 3 pockets and an outside slit which fits my iphone comfortably so I could refer to it often without opening the inside which held my other valuables. The locks on the zippers are sturdy as are the locks to hold the across body strap. The strap would be difficult to cut with a razor and is secure to the bag itself. As it turned out, it rained most of the time I was away so the whole bag was inside of my jacket most of the time making it impossible for a person to pickpocket my bag. One feature I couldn't use was converting to a fanny pack. I am thinner and when converted to fanny pack configuration, the bag hung down almost to my thighs. My son. who had a similar bag, wore it as a fanny pack because he has a bigger waist. Leaving on a trip this week and will use this bag again-- although not concerned about security-- because holds enough with slim profile. Love this bag!

Perfect for travel. Keeps your items secure and close to you. Small in size but still plenty of organizational space to fit everythign you need, including your passport. I used a slim wallet in mine for extra convenience.

Update: It's been a few weeks now, and Travelon never responded to my emails with a photo of the problem, information from the tag, and a copy of my Amazon invoice. They have, however, begun sending me marketing emails! I attached a photo; if you zoom in, you can see the sharp little deformity in the clasp that holds the strap to the purse. I would just caution anyone buying Travelon bags to inspect your bag really carefully when it arrives and send it back if there's a problem, because the manufacturer does not stand behind their products - even if it's really well documented- and will use your email address to send you spam. Edit: I have changed my rating because the strap kept coming loose at one end. Upon looking at it more closely, the clasp at the end of the strap is defective. It has a little, sharp piece of metal, and the post like part of the clasp is too short. I contacted Travelon via their website, and the people I talked to seemed like they didn't want to hear it. So I sent an email with my receipt, a photo of the messed-up clasp, and the style number from the tag that they requested. It's been a while and I haven't heard anything. I am disappointed at how little help I received, both on the phone, and by email. No exotic travels for me; I bought this to use at car shows. The bathroom facilities are often just Porta Potties, so I carry a couple of oversized toilet seat covers, some medication, asthma inhaler, powder and lipstick, travel pack of tissues, a pack of disinfecting hand wipes, and my ID, insurance card, and debit an credit card. My phone fits in the outside pocket, but it's a tight fit and kind of a pain to get in and out. I may try taking it out of its case; I think that would make a difference. And my asthma inhaler is too bulky; I may leave that in the car since my asthma is really mild. In any case, I'm a big purse person at heart, so this great little bag always leaves me wanting something that wouldn't fit into it. But I like it so much that I started using it every day. I love how it feels as a crossbody, it's so small and comfortable. It looks really cute, too. I hope the lining holds up, but if it starts to come loose I can put some Franken-stitches in there to hold it together if I have to! I would absolutely buy this bag again, despite the big adjustment in what I can bring with me!
