Wish I had bought it ages ago!
The media could not be loaded. I had been sceptical about whether it would be robust enough as the windows are high up, heavy and on a slope, meaning lots of resistance on the blinds and the latch on the windows is necessarily firm. No problem for this tool! Genuinely impressed with how much easier it makes it to open and close the blinds, and how quick to close the windows when rain starts to fall. No more mad dash for the ladder! No more scratching the window frames with makeshift poles. I had thought it expensive for a pole with a bit of plastic on the end, so put off buying, but actually for something this strong and lightweight, and with a perfectly shaped bit of plastic to grip the blinds and twist the window latch - I would say it's worth it!

Does the job
Seems overpriced for what it is but does do the job

Perfect for
Great item and perfect for opening our windows which are high in the ceiling. Our windows are relatively new and the handles are pretty easy to open. If they were stiff I would imagine the rod might be a bit more challenging to use with it being plastic on the end.I am really pleased with my purchase.

light and easy to use
I bought this shorter version, but it did not last long, as only about a year or so later, now the little spring holding the extender part in place dropped out as its plastic stud broke off and now if the pole needs to be used, it has to be kept extended with gaffer tape or something stronger than sticky tape. Being disabled, I use it to open and close curtains as well as opening a high window. Very disappointed that it is not strong enough for daily use.

Does the job easy to use and compact
Arrived quickly from seller well packed. Is right length for our needs as we don't need to fully extend. Press clips makes it easy to adjust. Is well made and ot too heavy. The plastic components are not to thin. Fits easily over our handle making it easy to open and close our roof window without a step ladder. Price was bit high but looking around wasn't may to choose from. In event was damaged is fully recyclable as was packaging.

Cheaply made and unsuitable for purpose
Poor quality product. When extended, the pole doesn't screw tightly together and the join but turns in the outer sleeve meaning it rotates on itself rather than having the torque to open / close the window handle easily. Rrely used, but remedied in the short term by 'fixing' at the join but(a) this meant we couldn't retract the pole and(b) after a few uses, the plastic head snapped off anyway rendering it completely useless.Seriously underwhelmed by the product. Will not be buying another but will have to look for something more durable and fit for purpose.Sorry - hate leaving bad reviews for any product but this one deserves it!

Does the job
Bought to make opening/closing a Velux window at the top of a staircase in a loft conversion easier. The pole extends smoothly and auto locks with buttons which depress easily to close again. It’s lightweight and stores easily in a cupboard. The plastic fitting at the end used to attach to the window handle seems sturdy but care should be used not to twist the pole too much as this could put pressure on the plastic loop. We are fortunate that we can open the window handle by hand and just use the pole to push open and pull down the window again.
