Love LODGE products
The red is a beautiful color. Size looks perfect for what I wanted, cooking a medium pot roast, soup, or strew. Use and love LODGE products. Did much research and found this cooking pot to be substantial with a very competitive price. To order one day and receive the next day is truly amazing. Thank you AMAZON, I look forward to enjoying a yummy pot roast tomorrow.

Awesome for making bread!
Beautiful Dutch Oven! Gave it to my granddaughter for her birthday. She made a loaf of bread that came out perfect. She loves it!

Beautiful
Delivery earlier than expected, especially on a Sunday. LODGE cast iron Dutch ovens are a name one can always depend on. I haven't used it yet but will do it later in the week. I already own a LODGE 3qt., so I knew what to expect. I was undecided between this 4.5 or a 6qt. I opened the box with trepidation as it looked like it was the same size as what I owned for fear of having to return it. NOT. It was a beautiful red color, and the size was perfect. We all like new things, don't we? A 6qt would have been too big, especially since I am single. The price was perfect as other stores charged up to $100 and got it at Amazon's payment provision I'm glad I made the right decision.

Lasting, durable and heavy duty
It's beautiful in color and shiny. I've used the Lodge dutch oven at least a dozen times, and the inside and outside has stayed brand new looking. It has not chipped. I love cooking in it. Food slightly sticks, but only when sauteing meat or veggies, but its expected with this type of dutch oven, plus that is where all the flavor is! I'm very happy with my purchase! It is every thing I wanted in a dutch oven. You will love it!

Perfect for sourdough
Love my lodge. Perfect size for sourdough standard size. Very pretty color. Can’t wait to try cooking roast in it. With stands high heat without discoloring so far. Not cheap but it is a good Dutch oven.

Not the fanciest - but is very good, gets the job done and wont break the bank
If I were stranded on a remote island and could only bring one pot, it would be the Lodge 4.5-quart model. It’s a versatile workhorse that can handle baking, frying, sautéing, braising, deep frying, slow cooking, and even stovetop-to-oven cooking. I use it as a slow cooker in the oven. I also have a 2 quart Le Creuset, a 5.5 quart Staub, and a 7qt Misen. My favorite is the Misen because of all the creative dishes I’ve made in it. I use the 5.5qt Staub for bread baking, the cute little 2qt Le Creuset for small batch sauces, toasting spices, rice, reheating soups and leftovers, and the 4.5-quart Lodge for my everyday workhorse tasks. Cooking in or cleaning the Lodge is just as easy as its siblings. I haven’t had any chips or dings, and I only use wood utensils, so there’s no unexpected staining. The interior color of the Lodge is similar to the Le Creuset, a warm beige or cream. I sense that the Le Creuset has a better quality finish, but I can’t quantify it. This differs from the Staub, which has a black surface. The Lodge’s corner shape, where the side walls meet the bottom, is steeply curved, similar to but not as much as the Misen, which is almost flat. The Le Creuset is the most curved. The lid on the Lodge isn’t as refined as the other lids and allows for more steam to escape (I can’t quantify this though). However, I often make a parchment paper cartouche using it instead of using the heavy lid. The Lodge might not be the fanciest or most refined Dutch oven out there, but it’s very good. It won’t break the bank compared to other models and if I needed another 4qt, I get this Lodge.

Seriously, why are you so amazing!?!
Before I mention why cast iron is the most durable and reliable cookware in a kitchen and that the nostalgic use of this item will make you feel your grandmother's love once more, let us go over the brilliance of this design. Lodge has made another product that will make your jaw drop. This is art folks! The Caribbean Blue pops...and trust me on this...it looks better in person. You will find yourself turning this pot different ways under a light and admiring the beautiful enamel finish. If you like cast iron, you might already be a collector and you really will want this in your home. The lid is just gorgeous. This dutch over is easy to clean and easy to use. The enamel makes it easy to prevent things from sticking. Medium to low heat is probably all you need on the stove top as this retains heat so well. Let me tell you partner, it can be the backbone for creating any meal. Use it as a skillet for browning meat. Make the best stew you ever had on of those gray wintery cold days. Slow roast a Boston butt pork roast lathered in BBQ rub with chopped onions, wee bit of water and a dash of liquid smoke for some pulled pork sandwiches that will make you swear you just recovered from a hangover the night before on Beal street. This hefty beauty does a fine job in the oven. The lid handle will not melt. Meatloaf and baked buffalo dip have already been tried in my home. We also roasted a glazed ham in this (lid off with a foil cover). Simply put, this dutch oven is a rock star in the kitchen. You will not be disappointed as when you buy Lodge you are buying quality that will last a lifetime.

No le pide nada a otras marcas
Mucho más económica que la marca esa francesa y no le pide nada. Es buenísima, resistente, bonita. Ideal para hornear panes.
