Pronto Seed Premium Grass Seeds 1.4kg - Covers 84m2

Had an area of shingle on top of a membrane, about 10 square meters we inherited when we moved to our house. We researched whether to use seed or turf. Locally turf would have cost around £100 so we opted for seed. We cleared the site, we didn't know what the soil was like under the membrane so we thought we'll just suck it and see. We dug the land over to a depth of around a foot and mixed in some Miracle Grow all-purpose compost, just to give the grass seed a helping hand. Laid the slabs on a cement base. Raked the area well and seeded the soil and gently raked again, shallow burying some of the seed. It was Spring when I started so I watered well twice a day on warm days and once on cooler days. On day 9 we started to see the brown shoots appearing, germination was quick. Within the next week we had short grass covering most of the seeded area, and with in 7 weeks it looked like it does in the picture, lush and green. What a total success costing just £33 for seed and compost. I highly recommend this seed, great value for money, quick growing and looks great. Just a word to the wise, we had to buy netting, the damned pigeons love the grass seed.

Quickest to germinate grass seed that I have ever used. Mixed it with 6 measures of silver sand. Not sure if it was down to conditions, and other than fill some weed holes with potting compost, spread it on mostly bare patches on lawn and grass started to show within a week. Will definitely buy again.

I am very happy with how quickly these seeds have sprouted. I followed the instructions and walked over the seeded areas to ensure the seeds made good contact with the soil, also because I had a little bit of compost left over from potting some plants I sprinkled that over the largest patch I was seeding. the grass where i added the compost sprouted first at day 7 and now by day 10 it is already 2 inches tall. I can now see grass sprouting on the smaller patches that had no compost, so they took a bit longer to catch. Obviously, too early to tell if the grass will be hardwearing, hence just 4 stars, but these are indeed speedy fast growing seeds

After a garden renovation i had no grass at the back and the garden was sparse and mostly dead grass. Ive used many types of seed before so didn't think this would be much different. I put the seed down and watered everyday. After 5 days It began to grow and within 3 weeks looks like the last photo. I still have a few stubborn patches but I am very happy with the results

It grew well initially-at least what I thought-however, the growth is very patchy! Will need to re-seed in autumn.

Very quick germination in about a week and strong seedlings. Really good colour green. Had a large area to seed and does look good now it’s growing nicely

Amazing ! Sowed seed on Tuesday and growing by Friday. Best seed I have used. I needed it to grow quickly as pigeons were eating seed previously. I have a female dog and she has made bare patches in my lawn but with this seed I can keep repairing my lawn. Highly recommended.

Worked reasonably well. Not all of the seeds have germinated but still hopeful. It could be my fault as I just raked the area I was treating and sprinkled the seeds before watering. Within a few days I had growth in patches but not in others. As I said perhaps it’s my fault as I didn’t read the instructions

Have just put this seed down to rejuvenate a 3 year neglected, untended lawn in Ireland. Cut the 2ft grass down, took as many weeds out as possible then spread the seed and the rain came for a soak. Fingers crossed the weatherman has it right and light rain will continue before sunshine in five days time. Should have grass growing in 7-14 days according to the box. Seed was of good size and consistent in colour. Happy so far.
