Long Handled Dustpan and Brush Set Lobby Dust Pan with Long Handle Sweeping Broom (Grey/Silver)

Purchased this in Aug 2020. Almost 3 years of thrice daily use , its still going ... just !! Good points, it's lightweight, it tucks away behind the door, it does an excellent job. Copes with the mud, straw, grass, cr*p traipsed in from cows, sheep and horses on the farm plus dog and cat hair ..... honestly I'm both astounded and highly impressed that its lasted so long. Hair does tend to stick to the bristles but are easily removed. It's cheap as chips, saves me bending and saves hauling the vacuum cleaner out. Which my poor beleaguered back is jolly grateful for. The absolute only tiny gripe I have is that the handle, being made of aluminium, is flimsier than I'd like. However saying that it withstood being stood on by a hefty foot, emerging decidedly dented, slightly askew but unbroken. It's yet to need to restorative powers of either duck tape or baler twine, but at such a good price, might just order a new one when the time comes!

Real brilliant, wish I bought this sooner. It makes dusting & packing up mess so much easier. It was easy to assemble despite the parts labelled incorrectly, at first when I saw others review of this I thought "oh dear assembling noo" but decided to give this a try anyways and it wasnt that bad. Also while I was using this it felt like a rod of the brush was becoming unscrewed but perhaps I had not tightened it enough. Pros: The wide pan allows for more dirt to be collected at a time. The set up makes cleaning more comfortable. Easy assembly & takedown which leads to another positive; easy compact storage. Handy dust comb, at first I thought this killed the design & was ridiculous however I realise how amazing this is and only wish I had it sooner to keep the brushes dust free. Cons: Incorrectly labelled parts on the instructions for assembly however it's intuitive to know the order of the rods (1 at the bottom, 2, extension, then 3 on top). A green end on one of the rods was loose & I'm able to twist it, not sure if this is intentional or not but so far doesnt affect functionality. Have knocked off a star for this though as it appears not to be but it's not that bad to warrant a return at the moment. Dust flies over the dust comb sometimes, not sure if it's the way I used it. Also the brush hairs weren't neatly straight, some were sticking out but it's not the end of the world.

Since I bought this in 2022, the design seems to have changed. I was looking for a long time to find a model where the brush is at an angle to the handle (see photo). This is the most natural position for a broom, so I don't understand why the rest of them are always made so that the handle attaches vertically in the middle. Those do not give the same efficiency and ergonomics when using the broom. I'm sad to see this particular model is no longer what this listing now shows. But this one, this one is PERFECT. The handle is long enough too. Like seriously, just look at that brush angle in relation to the handle! To have found one like this after an extensive search, such a joy. Yes, I get excited by little perfections like this, when someone designing an object has actually THOUGHT about the functionality in real life. All brooms should be like this!

This is a much sturdier and better quality dustpan and brush than the cheap plastic one I had bought previously. The handles are made of stainless steel and I can see that they will last and last. Unlike the cheap plastic one where the handle of the brush broke in 2 places. Unfortunately, I find the steel handle a bit too thin for gripping well. And it's steel. So it's heavier than plastic and needs to be gripped more firmly. It probably isn't a problem for others to handle/grip even if it's a problem for me. Sadly, I had to return mine and settle for a lighter, less robust, all plastic dustpan and brush.

Good quality, easy to screw handles together. Bought as a replacement for previous which got damaged. Took the trouble to track down the identical article as it had given good service. Very useful item which saves bending down!

Really pleased with this dustpan and brush as it ticks all my boxes! The brush is a good length so I can do my work without bending, and the brush is wide and strong enough to collect all the heavier bits off the floor in one sweeping action. The dustpan is a good size so I don't have to keep going to the bin to empty it and the guard enables me to clear away any hairs and fibres that collect on the brush. Its nice to be able to choose from so may colours and I got the grey one to match my kitchen décor. I like the fact that I can hang it up when not in use, and unlike others I've had that I've always hidden away, I'm very happy to keep this one inside my kitchen and have on display as its a neat, modern design. Delivery was very quick and it arrived before expected which is always a bonus, and I would recommend this product to anybody!

Ich bin vollends zufrieden mit diesem Produkt. Ich kann auch nicht nachvollziehen, warum hier andere Kunden beim zusammenbau Probleme hatten oder sich über lose Verbindungen zwischen Stil und Schaufel/Besen beschweren. Wenn man die Teile korrekt miteinander verschraubt halten sie bombenfest. Die Gummilippe ist für mich bei einem Kehrblech das wichtigste Teil. Bei dieser Schaufel ist sie so ausgeprägt, wie es sein soll: Sie liegt ohne Spalt direkt am Boden auf. Wenn man Besen und Schaufel mit dem Clip zusammenklippst, dann stehen dies Teile sicher auf der Schaufel und können so platzsparend aufbewahrt werden. Es gitb sehr wenige Schaufeln mit Stil am Markt, die eine feststehende Schaufel ohne diese für mich absolut überflüssigen Schaniere (und manchmal sogar einen lästigen Deckel). Solche Teile stehen nämlich in der Regel nicht alleine sondern müssen immer irgendwo an die Wand gehängt werden. Um so erfreuter war ich, mit diesem Produkt eine Ausführung mit feststehender Schaufel zu bekommen bei gleichzeitig hochwertigem material (Stile aus Metall) und einer soliden Verarbeitung. Das das dann alles auch noch aus Europa und nicht China kommt, erfreut mich um so mehr.
