Fancierstudio 1000watt Lighting Kit Black White Muslin Backdrop and background stand kit By Fancierstudio K105BW

I am not a professional photographer, but I am slowly expanding my horizons so this set up was perfect for me. I was not sure what to expect, but the items arrived well packaged and although the unit came with instructions it was easy enough to put together by sight and using common sense. Everything was in good working order except one of the larger bulbs. The kit is sturdy enough for me and what I have planned, but I love the fact that you can use large or small backdrops by simply switching out the extension poles to shorten or lengthen the width of the backdrop stand. Only one large light was working upon delivery, but it is super bright and the smaller light is bright, but not too bright as to over expose the subject. I sent the seller an email about the broken light bulb (at 3am in the morning) and they responded by 10am cst. They didn't say anything except "ok, we'll send another" which was great because I don't purchase a lot of things online, but I will purchase from this seller again with customer service like that!Considering what this is used for I thought it was sturdy enough, besides you're not using it for batting practice so how strong should it be? As far a people complaining about the backdrop stand bending in the middle, that's probably because you have too many backdrops on there at one time, I wouldn't put more than two or three in a single sitting. The backdrops included with it seem to be high quality even though they may be a bit on the thin side, I just put anothe backdrop behind the main backdrop to darken or lighten the main backdrop appearance as needed.This is an unbeatable buy for the money and if I had to do it over the only thing I would have done was purchase the step up from this that included a green screen type of background. The only reason that I did not choose that unit was because it had a 1-4 month shipping time and I simply could not wait. This is a great buy, don't cheat yourself, treat yourself!

For the price its a great product but you just have to examine the bulbs before using them. I used it once and everything worked perfectly I was very satisfied and I put everything back in the bag the way it came to me. As soon as I picked it up to put it away the handle on the bag started ripping. It seems as though the stitching wasn't quite sturdy enough for the weight. Also the next time I used it, I noticed the larger bulb had a crack but it worked perfectly. Then I turned it off for a few hours and went back to use it again so I plugged it back it and switched it on and the bulb burnt out! There was smoke and everything. Theres no way that this could have been from after I used it the first time because I put it in the exact way that it came and only moved it from one room to another. All in all its great for the price but just be careful about inspecting your bulbs and straps before using them.

I am just starting out in studio photography and needed an inexpensive set up to get myself going. This is the perfect starter kit. It comes in a nice carrying bag, great instructions and easy to set up. The stands are a little on the lightweight side, but indoors this isn't an issue. One of the lights didn't work out of the box, but the seller replaced it with no hesitation.I would recommend this for anyone just starting out in studio photography.

I am an amateur photographer and part time YouTube vlogger. I purchased this kit to improve on my studio shots and my high def video quality. So far I am very pleased with the quality and build of the setup. Two of the stands are adjustable up to 7 feet, which comes in really handy to light above your subject (unless your shooting a basketball team). The whole things breaks down into a nice size. My only wish is that it came with a carrying case. It did not say it came with one, but now having had it for a while, I might look for one. If this is setup in a studio or room all the time, then no worries on a case. Was shipped quickly and was shipped a "box in a box" for added protection. I would recommend this to any novice to intermediate photographer/videographer!!

I bought this kit as it has pretty decent reviews and a good price. But man, I almost paid the price for that mistake. Around my 4th time using the lights, it caught fire. LIterally, during the middle of my shoot, I had to put out an electrical fire caused by one of the lights. It was just standing there, aflame! Needless to say, this could have ended in tragedy. Luckily, I had the state of mind to pull the light away and just hold it in the air, while the fire went out. When I contacted fancier, they tried to settle it by sending my a single lightbulb. This is not acceptable practices.Do the safe thing, just buy a better set, this one is clearly defective.

Maybe two stars is a bit low, but I received this product with a thin cut down the center of the carry bag. So just seeing how it was either so poorly made that it split either in the mail, or prior to being shipped.Already not thrilled, I set up a basic set. Everything seemed fine. On a shoot the next morning, I found that one of the tripod's centerpieces was completely broken. And I guaruntee that we keep exceptional care of our equipment. I was lucky to brace/tape it enough so we could make it through. I sent it back today.Maybe you could say you get what you pay for. The back drop and the lights are ok... But the rest isn't too impressive.
