Will this fit S&W 629 with 8 3/8 inch barrel?

No, I bought for my. Colt Trooper with 4" barrel and it it just about a perfect fit. I have a S&W model 27-2 with a 8-3/8 inch barrel and Safariland use to make a shoulder holster for the revolver. Double check the barrel lengths when looking for a holster for yours.

Will it fit a BFR long colt?

I do not know I use it on a dan wesson 8 inch 44 mag
