A very good helmet
It was a good helmet until the chinstrap ripped and fell off but it was easy to repair. All in all a good helmet for the price.

Good for price. Chinstrap is the only weakness
Nice piece. NOT for reenacting, it's simple and plastic but it seems to be the right size and shape. Great for costumes/larp/cosplay. Especially if you don't mind putting a little work into it. Mine came with pretty good foam padding inside, good enough I didn't mess with it any more. The chin strap is black nylon, looks kinda tacky to me so I'm going to replace it with a leather strap. I'm not sure how long the nylon strap will hold up anyway. But other than the chin strap, absolutely worth the money. Decently thick, I'm guessing the same as the metal one though I've not held an original. Accidentally dropped it on concrete, faired fine, seems durable (aside from chinstrap) for most use or for kids to play with.

Has potential if you're crafting with it; good enough if you don't get a lemon otherwise
It's good and it's bad. I got a dud but I was going to modify it anyway so it didn't actually matter. The good: the plastic shell is cast quite well and has a texture like a metal helmet. The size is pretty true to a real one, and it fits my big noggin easily. It's very light and doesn't feel like you have a helmet on, good for a costume. The fixable: the helmet slides around on your head if you don't do something about it. You could just tighten the chin strap. Better, you could just tape in a little foam (I used scrap from a foam floor mat, anything will do) inside or make a more elaborate liner if you're a hobbyist costumer or cosplayer. The strap is possibly okay; it wouldn't quite buckle under my chin (big head problems) but I wore it behind my head. With the foam inside, it stays on pretty well. The bad: The strap is junky, with unfinished ends that will fray. Run a lighter over them to fuse the nylon back together. One of my straps pulled off of the rivet that holds it on, then the sloppy rivet fell apart with very little persuasion. If you're the tinkerer type you might be replacing the strap anyway, if you're just trying to wear this for a basic costume or it's for a kid, that is obviously a big deal breaker. In summary, if you're a cosplayer or hobby costume type of person buying it mostly for the plastic shell, you'll be okay. If you're looking for a toy helmet for a kid or easy costume for a play or whatnot, it might work out, as long as the one you get has the strap riveted on right.
