This product is great! I have psoriasis and experience breakouts on my feet and lower legs. I was reluctant to wear shorts or skirts because of the red, scaly patches the condition leaves. I started searching for a product I could use to hide those spots. I'm not one to spend much time on applying makeup, so I was looking for something simple to use, affordable that would not be thick or heavy. The product also needed to stay on and not rub off on clothing, furniture, etc. A lot to ask for, I know. I decided to try Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs because it promised to have all the features I was looking for. To be honest, I was more than a little skeptical. I showered just before using the product, I used a nylon shower puff and Dove Bath Bar on my legs and feet. I didn't apply lotion afterward as most contain oil which may interfere with the products ability to stay on the skin. I followed the directions to spray product on my palm and rub on the leg. I wasn't pleased with the results. There were streaks and I couldn't get an even appearance. I decided to try spraying it directly on my legs. The decision to try this latter method was easy because it was a beautiful breeze free day and I have a very private back patio. So, dressed only in a towel wrapped around myself, I headed out back door; I wouldn't recommend trying it indoors. The results I got from spraying it directly on my legs were beyond expectations. I applied it, waited a few minutes then reapplied to areas that needed it. Back indoors, I used a blow dryer on the low setting to speed up the drying. I attended a family event that afternoon that was outdoors on a bright sunny day. I wore a skirt for the first time in many years. More than one of my family members commented on how great my legs looked. They asked what I was taking (ie prescription medication) to get the psoriasis cleared up so well. They were as impressed as I was at how well this product covered the reddened spots without looking like I had heavy make up on my legs. I ended up going to bed early, too exhausted to shower. I expected to wake up and find the product all over my sheets. I was amazed to find that my sheets were as pristine as they were when I had gone to bed. Even standing in a hot shower this product did not run until I applied soap to my legs. I'm so glad I found this product. I will be back in my favorite shorts and skirts this summer and will no longer hate the popularity of bare legged fashions! To say I would recommend this product to a friend is putting it mildly.

I love this stuff!!! such a great alternative to a tanning lotion or mousse! i used to buy st tropez tanning mousse which was lovely but also very expensive, as well as a neostrata lotion which was also lovely. this sally hansen product is a different sort of product in that it is quite opaque if that makes sense. normally when i use tanning lotion it will not cover flaws and or veins, this stuff is almost like foundation. although it is an aerosol spray it still does need to be rubbed in, this works instantly and will get great coverage, you know it will go on evenly and not be streaky right when you apply it because its an instant tanner and its almost more of a solution that sits on top of your skin rating than soaking in like a regular tanning lotion (its more like makeup) and the colour is great too i use this on my entire body instead of just legs like it suggests. sometimes i will use it over top of a regular self tanner for a more smooth and airbrushed appearance, also makes your legs look perfect, covers bruises and veins, etc washes off super easily, and is less important to exfoliate prior to using compared with other tanners doesn't stain your hands! only thing is, it doesn't last as long as your regular tanning lotion or mousse because it comes off very easily with soap and water. more of a product to apply daily or when needed rather than for a weekend or something overall, easy to use, great colour, acts not only as a tanner but also a coverup, easy to wash off

I bought this product to have for NYE and also other events where I would be wearing more revealing/night out clothing. This airbrush color was a bit darker than I expected and a bit blotchy if you don't spray far away enough. But once I figured out a good method for using it, it gave me a very nice glow! I recommend spraying it on in the shower (after you shower obviously), otherwise you can make quite a mess in your bathroom (like I did). Also make sure you spray a good distance from your skin because it comes out fast and quick! After I sprayed it on my legs, arms, shoulders, and chest, I rubbed it around to disperse the color (It sticks pretty good if you have dry skin so make sure you exfoliate and do it after a good shower). Then after that I rubbed on some lotion because it dries out your skin a bit and the lotion also helps it look more evenly dispersed. I liked this product a lot as I do not go tanning and it is nice to have a good flawless glow! The only reason I gave this product 4 stars was because it didn't spray evenly but you can easily fix that afterwards with lotion which you would want to put on anyways so that your skin is hydrated. And remember go easy the first layer of spraying because you can always go back and get more coverage but it's hard to go back and remove it in places without looking blotchy!

I don't have before and after pictures like the many awesome reviews here, but I can tell you that I've been using this for over 10 years, and it has never disappointed! I started using it first on the décolletage/chest area during a theatre stage production, to even out sun-tan lines, and have been using it ever since regularly. Mostly on the legs, it flawlessly evens out skin tone, covers scars and blemishes, I don't wear a dress without this. My legs look amazing. As I get older, I have added a little to my arms to cover blemishes there. It blends super well and easily and dries super fast. be sure to use on recently moisturized skin, not mandatory, but best for optimal results. Cons are yes it will slightly transfer to clothing if you get dressed too quickly after application. And it has a very slight shimmer to it, I wish it was available without the shimmer. But when you use it especially at night time, it is not noticeable at all. I have used other body make ups that are far more expensive, they are not as good as this. Try it! I think you will like it :-)

Surprisingly easy to apply, no odor, and the “light” version is not orange. It does not cover varicose veins or blemishes, but it does minimize them. I wasn’t expecting much from this, and I am terribly impatient when it comes to self application. But I think this is the product I need for those occasions when I want to wear dresses or shorts, and feel like I look my best.

I've really tried to give this product a fair shake. I used it according to the directions, spraying it into my hand and then carefully applying it. I also tried spraying it on directly. No matter how I used it, my legs showed up a highly unnatural orange shade. The coverage wasn't even that good, as this is thin stuff. It was hard to wash off, which would be good if you were wearing it swimming. Still, I didn't appreciate it, especially when it tinted my bathwater. Honestly, I did better with a darker shade of the foundation I use on my face! I had bought a shade too dark, and the bottle was just hanging around, so I put some on my legs when I was wearing a skirt and sandals. The coverage was great, and the color was natural! It didn't rub off any more than expected, and it was easy to remove but withstood a dunk in water. I would expect more from a leg specific product than this one delivers. It was a waste of money for me.

So pretty, but looks fake, which is fine for me, but just be aware that from clothes, it has a bit of simmer or small glitter, so you can tell it is fake. Also the shade is darker than expected, also that was good thing for me, I got light glow shade while my skin tone is light or light to medium, and it was dark, but lovely. It does last for days if you don't scrup it away. Also make sure you use it correctly, you need to spread it evenly and wait for it to dry totally.

Maybe achieves 40% coverage. Will not cover up vericose veins. But it will give an even toned look.

This spray actually gives a really nice airbrushed look to the legs. It helped blur small veins, uneven skin tone, and little imperfections while still looking pretty natural once blended properly. The finish makes skin look smoother and more polished, especially for dresses or shorts. It also adds a little bit of color to the skin, which gives it a healthier and more even look. A little practice is needed with application because it dries quickly, but once you figure it out, the result looks great. I also liked that it lasted well without feeling too heavy on the skin. One thing I noticed though is that it can sometimes transfer onto furniture or fabric if you sit down before it fully sets, so I’d recommend letting it dry completely first.

I'm very fair (Irish) and purchased the "light glow" option. It's purely orange. It's like I have Donald Trump's legs. I don't understand how this has such high reviews. Can't return it either so it went right into the trash. Skip this one.
