CamelBak Podium Water Bottle 21oz, Black

This bottle is great. I ordered the "Carbon" color bottle, and the bottle I received is clear in color. Be aware, some retailers will call the "Carbon" bottle "Clear", and some will call the "Smoke" bottle "Clear". With any of these, you will be able to see the water level through the plastic. I posted a picture of the "Carbon" bottle I received. It's easy to hold, lasts for years, does not accumulate any smells or funny taste, and is easy to drink from.

Washed it. Added filtered water. And It's the perfect squeezy water bottle! Sturdy. Durable. Fun design. Nothing bulky or heavy. No smells. No straws. Easy grip. Perfect for FD. I'm getting another one! (insert Pippen's voice). As for the value, I guess it's a little high but accurate at $13..

Love this water bottle, got it for the gym!

We have purchased several of these bottles. In general they are great--very sturdy with a secure valve that prevents leaking in purses and backpacks. The main thing consumers need to know is that mold will grow inside the components of the lid over time--even if you only use the bottle for water. Regular washing in the dishwasher will not get rid of it, and you cannot see it (much less get rid of it) unless you disassemble the lid. It was easy for my teenage son to take it apart, but a little tough for me with my older hands. Here's how to do it: Turn the lid upside down, pull out the soft, light grey stopper, and then pop the dark grey ring out, Then push the 2 sides of the drinking spout in until you can pop it out (that's the part I have trouble with). Pull the soft black O-ring off (a lot of the mold we found grows under here). After some internet searching we decided to soak all these parts in a mixture of warm water and white vinegar to kill the mold, then scrub with a dish brush, rinse in hot water, and dry completely before re-assembling. I've set a reminder on my phone to do this regularly since we use the water bottles pretty much every day.

Based on first uses and impressions it's a great product! I absolutely love this water bottle in the bottle blue/pink color combination. The body is on the firm side concerning the squeeze action on the plastic body, so don't expect a soft bottle like the traditional Gatorade squeeze bottles. The mouth piece or spout is a nice soft silicone texture rather than a hard plastic which is something I didn't realize but ended up appreciating. I bought this bottle for my daily walks so I can't speak for riding fit. I wish it had a handle or leash for walks, but I fashioned one out of some thin paracord that I had and the cap holds it down well and doesn't leak by doing this. No leak at the cap when squeezing either under normal use either.

Really like this water bottle! Fits & stays securely in holder, big gap to fill quickly and/or fit ice in, squeezes nicely to drink, returns to shape quickly, high flow no-leak nozzle. Saw a low review, complaining about "needing two hands to open nozzle, useless while riding." But it has their self sealing cap, AND the on/off valve for no leak transport. (There's no rule saying you HAVE to lock it every time you put it back on the ride, genius. Problem there is "Product smarter than customer").

I had to change this review from 5 to 3 stars for a few reasons. You see, this water bottle design lets us drink without having to open the valve manually to do so. It saves time during racing or training, which is good but there are problems here. One of the plastic flanges (?) that holds the slosh protector (I'll call it) in place broke off as you see in the picture. That's an intentional use of inferior plastic so it fails after X months of use. In order to clean it properly, we remove the slosh protector to keep water from sloshing out the drink port while we're riding. It's a functional design but you can tell it was designed to break so you'd have to buy another one. Planned obsolescence is a nasty design and business strategy where a product is intentionally made to break or otherwise become unusable. I reject that crooked business model. It shouldn't be supported by consumers because it wastes our money and fills out landfills with plastics. They're also missing an opportunity to make these bottles safer to use by not making the interior smoother so microbes can't hide in the small pits in the plastic. They've also been accused of undercutting their competitors to drive them out of business , then jack up their prices, which seems to be the case with their products if you compare prices. Maybe some sensible purchase pressure from use will help them see the error of their ways.

Tough bit of kit. There are cheaper water bottles out there, and I was reluctant to spend more on this, but it payed off. Nice bit of kit, plastic is robust and it has a rotating lock to stop the water spilling out. Nice size too.

Camelback es calidad, y ademas esta boquilla es perfecta porque no pierdes agua y ademas se desmonta para lavarlo todo. Tengo otros bidones grandes y necesitaba uno de mas pequeño para la spark y no encontraba en ningun lado. los que habia son de otras marcas y no tienen ni la calidad de camelback y ademas pierden agua. Este cabe perfectamente.

These Camelbak nozzles are so good to drink from. No messing with opening, just squeeze the bottle! And they work over the long term as I've had the same bottle for years. And it also has a solid locking mechanism for locking the nozzle during transport. Only downside is that the nozzle area can attract moud/bacteria over the longer term, but a thorough cleaning does the job as it's easy to disassemble.
